  1. Looks like worst case scenario for you guys in the mountains currently with the track being further south and the storm moving very slow.
  2. No the job is fine. I'm doing and learning the job as needed but there have been some things in my personal life that have transpired that I feel like I must come back for. If I stay up in Wisconsin it will only be for money and nothing else and I'm no that happy up here.
  3. Lol yeah. Summer is usually slow here. Although the mountains have had a lot of rain this season. Hopefully I'm coming back to WNC soon so I'll be back.
  4. Yeah today is warm but that will be short lived.
  5. Yeah looks like a quick warm up... I mean maybe 5 degrees above normal before a big cold front comes through.
  6. I just noticed on the NAM that the piedmont may have some light icing going on tonight into tomorrow morning.
  7. Glad I don't live there. We still have snow in the ground with a frozen ground to add to that. Also the Euro is showing a cool down for around in two days then another much bigger cool down in 7 days again. I don't look at the GFS much anyways. We have been below average since Christmas anyways.
  8. East of us have already cashed in this year. they are running like 700 percent above normal. It has already been a banner year for them. The cold air has been very impressive also. This has been an impressive winter already for several. Glad to see most get into the action.
  9. I doubt that... The models show an up and down with the pattern. We will have warm ups and cool downs in the mean time. No torch look though currently.
  10. Its very telling when we have a plus NAO and AO is plus but we are in the freezer. The PNA is fixing to go negative for a bit so of course things will warm but then we reload with a great cold pattern again I think going into February.
  11. Yeah the Euro has had this signal for several runs.
  12. I'm not saying it's too cold to snow. All im saying is we live in the SE. Historically in some of our coldest months ever they have been some of our least snowiest months around here. It is a well known fact that a lot of the big snowstorms we see around here we get with temps right around 30 degrees. Yes i have seen it snow around 0 degree but we did not get a foot of snow from that. Having such cold high pressure systems bearing down on the region is hurting our chances for snow as we have already seen with basically two systems disappearing.
  13. Lol she deleted one of my post telling Grit that the trends on the models where getting worse. I could care less. The too cold too snow and people trying to talk themselves into believing it will snow in there backyard are funny. Its like every new update is the same thing. Trough is sharper it looks better through about hour 54, Mack comes in BOOM we are going to have a great run then it just takes a nose dive!
  14. Why would it with massive high pressure building in. Have you not seen the extreme cold coming in?
  15. Really Pack? The CFS comes out with something different everyday... What month did it blow recently? November I believe.
  16. Yeah if we get what looks to be coming then a lot of people will be caught off guard. The roads could be a disaster.
  17. Actually with the way things have trended we are left high and dry. No moisture around.
  18. No kidding! I was looking at the snow all the way into Mexico and along the Gulf coast in Louisiana, Alabama, and parts of the Panhandle. Shoot even New Orleans kind of got in on that run. Pretty crazy how the trough is oriented then the moisture comes in deep.
  19. We are screwed in WNC. We have buds and leaves coming out. With highs in the 20s and lows in the single digits it's going to burry everything.
  20. Lol count on it. I was thinking the same thing.
  21. Fire up the grill! Mixed drinks and burgers everyone!
