    Looks like heading into tonight through tomorrow morning the boarder counties will get in on some upslope snow. The flow will not be a true NW flow but will kind of rotate as the system pulls northward. Most places should see some type of flake action along the boarder. It shoukd make for a festival feel there. Good luck.

    I have been better really and I do miss the mountains. I have a lot of family stuff going on so I'll be back the second week in December for as long as I can see. It will be good to be back.

    I took this pic this morning at around 2 am. So peaceful at this time of the morning with the snow falling.

    3 inches of snow and counting. Current temp is 17 degrees. Feels and looks like deep winter.

    Well we usually have warm days leading up to snow. I'm definitely not use to it being cold day after day after day especially this early in the season. So this season will be lots of firsts for me I think.

    Light snow has started here in Wausau Wisconsin. Very tiny flakes but instantly sticking to everything. This is a lot different than back in WNC.

    This setup is not a typical NW flow setup. It is primarily a system with cold air crashing in behind it. The flow behind the main batch of moisture is kind of a westerly flow. These setups are very hard to predict for the mountains because if you get a delay in the cold air it is a cold chasing moisture type setup.

    That was quick. We have a dusting on the cars now. The snow has really picked up here. Moderate snow falling currently.

    Light snow has started here with a temp right at 32 degrees. The wind has really picked up also.

    Temp has fallen here to 33 degrees. Looking for the snow to come in overnight.

    The cold coming in on the euro is pretty extreme for this time of the year. Would be getting real close to some single digit readings.

    Snowing at a decent clip here in north central Wisconsin. Cars are covered and the grass is turning white. Temp right at 31 degrees.

    First winter weather advisory for the area tomorrow for northern Wisconsin. I am looking forward to seeing the flakes fly.

    The dynamics across the mountains are pretty amazing this evening and tonight.

    Yeah I had visited Rangeley last year and it was a beautiful area but I have found some great prices more northward for sure.

    Well I'm off fellas. Its was a crisp frosty morning with a low of 33 degrees. Hopefully I can get back before Christmas. Until the next time may the weather continue to grow colder and the flakes start to fly.

    Yeah I took a railroad job up in Wisconsin. I'm a freight train conductor up in Wausau Wisconsin to be exact. I'm trying to get back home but it has been a very grueling task. I'm back currently because both my grandmother and my grandfather just passed away... So I'm trying to be as patient as possible but I need to get back.

    Nice! I have been looking to buy a hole in the wall or some land around Rangeley but it's a bit expensive around the lake. Beautiful though.

    The short term pattern for the next 7 days looks good for average or below average temps with frequent precipitation and possibly some snow. All in all a much better pattern for Fall than what yall have seen down here.

    Yeah the leaf season from Wisconsin to the mountains is a stark contrast. At least the cold air has arrived finally. Temp down to 37 degrees already. I'm sure this is very refreshing to everyone here.
