Just got word school is letting out early. With these rates roads are starting to turn white.

The trough on the Euro is impressive but you can see the lack of cold air in Canada because with a trough that deep temps should be much colder. I really dont see a storm but I see a great indicator of some good flow snow.

Yep same. We had a heavy dusting on everything then it stopped but back to moderate snow. This just puts you in the winter mood.

Most models barely had anything of this sort just last night with this system. This was a huge fail from them.

Good morning fellas! Its great living in the mountains and this is a nice surprise. Currently sitting at 30 degrees with moderate snow and by the radar this looks to continue for several hours.

I mean we are very early in winter but the MJO can wreak havoc on the pattern along with a cluster of other things. We will see but this has been the talk over the course of the past week or two.

Yep was a beautiful winter day. Had a high here of 29, cloudy with the occasional flurry.

Yeah all this blocking is really leading to nothing. All the cold air is on the other side of the globe. And when Canada becomes really cold again everything will dump into the west.

Have you looked at the euro? There is some cold showing up there. The GFS has been on and off.

Been blowing snow here in town tonight. Getting much colder also. Everything is freezing up.

Moderate snow here again but literally a 15 minute drive into town and there is barely anything.
