  1. Season of tiny flying white fuzzies , don't know what they are but they're everywhere
  2. Some of us like going out
  3. Beautiful moon rise this evening. Finally a full nice dry weekend on tap. I know @nycwinterwill still be wearing his Canadian goose in the morning haha Enjoy the weekend fellas!
  4. There's this long strip of vacant grassy land near my area that used to service an old railroad...it's a river now
  5. @Rmine1 most of the area got 1.5-2"+ lol
  6. Are we really going to debate whether this pathetic *** rainstorm is a bust or not?
  7. We weren't supposed to get heavy rain tonight. Mainly drizzle and light rain. Most short term models forecasted less than 0.25" for tonight. I can see the intensity picking up and becoming more widespread around daybreak , and tapering off towards the afternoon. Our "main event" is Sunday into Monday AM
  8. Nice rain event here it's been non stop mod-hvy since 12am , after the mail line
  9. Bro I saw a bolt strike no less than 0.25mi in front of me while waiting for the train. Sounded like a bomb saw it coming and the thunder still made me **** my pants
  10. Lightning was impressive coming into the metro, def died down a bit but hvy rain here now with an occasional flash
  11. We might even push 90 next week if things go well. Such a blessing after a terrible winter. Having a cold and damp spring would've been such a shot to the face. Love it. @nycwinterstill wearing your winter coat? It is kind of breezy
  12. one of the best starts to April I can recall
  13. If we keep getting storms tracking the way they are, you bet your ass it will be. This was a hair close to being something major.
  14. Lightning was insane. Had a bolt knock out power to portions of southern jersey city along the Bayonne border. Also knew us in NYC metro were gonna be skunked but nonetheless this was a very impressive event. Good start to svr season.
  15. oh jeez, i didnt even see this thread... I 100% agree with bluewave. The svr potential tomorrow should be watched. I really, really like central NJ (duh....its always central nj) but NYC proper isnt out of the woods either. Be weather aware tomorrow.
  16. 18z HRRR has a supercell moving over the linden/carteret areas with a decent helicity swath
  17. @Rtd208 our first slight risk of the season! 5% tornado risk just south of NYC, with a 2% introduced for NYC. If we can clear out early, I can see an enhanced being introduced for areas in central NJ. Maybe even NYC itself.
  18. Maybe our first 80 degree readings around April 6th?
  19. It was bound to happen. We went a whole decade of blockbusters basically. We'll be back.
  20. Models are real convinced the southern low chases this area of vorticity and convection way out to sea , which causes way to late of a phase for us. I'm not sure how this plays out honestly. Gonna come down to watching that southern stream L in real time
  21. I doubt anyone fell for it. It was just nice to see a run like the nam within 48 hours. We all knew it was most likely out to lunch
  22. Nice weather lol Ive officially checked out the tracking storms department, unless it's svr wx. Could see some 60s friday
  23. Atleast next Friday+sat looks beautiful
