  1. ULL comes in handy this time of year .
  2. I think winter is probably about over for those not in elevation. .
  3. Went out to start my Jeep at 6:15 and it was snowing. I’m on the east side of Knox Co now and there’s a sleet shower. Pretty good one too. .
  4. Man the wind is absolutely ripping it. .
  5. I was driving through there when he was riding that down 1st creek. February 2011 was when the worst flash flooding I’ve ever seen hit Knoxville. .
  6. “As noted above, very strong shear -- with south-southwesterly 850 mb winds in excess of 50 to 60 kt increasing to west-southwesterly at 70 to 90 kt at mid levels -- is suggestive of supercells, and attendant risk for damaging winds and several -- and possibly locally strong/damaging -- tornadoes. As such, an upgrade to enhanced risk is being introduced, centered across the Tennessee Valley area from late afternoon through the evening hours” .
  7. I agree. Once we get into March I’m thinking about spring, lawn, landscaping and outside projects. Lots of golf but we typically play 12 months of the year. .
  8. Some snow showers moving in. Looks like @John1122 is getting a good one right now .
  9. It seems like anymore you copy that 15% area and use it over and over again for 8 months of the year. .
  10. Yo-yo season has started. 65 today, 45 Sunday, 65 Wednesday, 50 Saturday. .
  11. That’s like a couple hundred miles or something. Definitely worth watching .
  12. Maybe we can sneak something in under the trough. A .25-.50 qpf can have a high output in a cold dry column. .
  13. I’m headed home from work and I see the same thing on the ridge tops just north of my house. .
  14. I didn’t know you were a course superintendent. That’s awesome. I worked at a course in Knoxville for 7 years just on Saturday morning cutting cups and mowing greens. I don’t think there’s a colder job than mowing greens in late fall, early spring. .
  15. It’s actually spitting some snow in Knoxville and a quick look at the radar shows a band of snow moving through Nashville .
  16. A friend of mine lives in Mt Juliet really close to NWS and said the main roads are ok but the back and side roads are terrible .
  17. Really good stuff. It’s been a weird winter. I can handle having surface temp issues or a “warm noise” because that’s just the valley for you but everything that’s fell for the most part has been snow, especially N of 40. I have been too far NW twice, too far south once and was mega downsloped the last time. Even with the severe downsloping I still stayed all snow. [emoji1745][emoji1745][emoji1745] .
  18. Large tornado on the ground south of Tuscaloosa Ala moving towards Birmingham .
  19. I apologize… your location? .
