  1. Yeah that would definitely be a punch in the gut. Lucky this pattern is just now going into a really good 500mb look and I think this isn’t our last GOM opportunity. There will also be wrinkles in the flow that only high res will pick up on less than 48 hours out that can easily drop a couple of inches with NW flow. I still don’t think Friday’s system is off the table. .
  2. This isn’t that situation though correct? .
  3. Isn’t the Euro bad about leaving energy behind? .
  4. Stuff like that is above my pay grade .
  5. A stronger/amped up low pressure would pull it NW .
  6. Maybe I’m just pissing into the wind but all three systems this year moved 100 miles, two of them NW in the 11th hour. IMO if we were ground zero right now this board would be concerned with a NW trend coming. But then again it may track SE of the area. 3+ days out, nothing is off the table. .
  7. We don’t get to say your last statement very often. .
  8. GFS and the UK jumped NW overnight. Euro moved SE but but it was only one run. We haven’t seen any trends yet. I’ll take where Knoxville is right now 100% of the time and be right 90% of the time especially this year. Mods also lose themselves in the 4-5 day out timeframe but usually pick back up on the storm after a few runs. .
  9. You might be right but 90% of the time you never want to be ground zero 4-5 days out. .
  10. Would you consider this an overrunning event? I understand a low is thought to develop on the CF but wasn’t sure if WAA was advecting moisture back across the boundary. .
  11. UK has a monster but it’s from the mountains to the coast. 12z…. 00z….. .
  12. It’s interesting that they went with their blended model for the Wednesday night system which they have been leaning on heavily lately but didn’t mention it for Friday after it showed a snowier solution. .
  13. I’m still laughing at his “random band of snow” that kept him from giving himself an A grade. I mean… if you feel the need to go on social media and grade yourself…. It’s like the jokes tell themselves sometimes. .
  14. This should probably be banter but the moon is huge this more. This picture doesn’t really show it. .
  15. I keep getting this with some posts on here .
  16. Absolutely.. with these temps we don’t even need a perfect track/placement. For the most part with cold air in place, the last three systems would have been fine. .
