  1. Observation that probably won’t mean much but the skies have cleared out in Knoxville and we might get some radiational cooling. .
  2. MRX is officially on crack or second shift has taken over. They raised my totals up to 2” an hour ago and put me under a WWA. Now they have lowered my totals to 1/2” to 1”. .
  3. MRX for my point and click only has a mix or changeover for a couple of hours now. They also lowered my high temp to 35 and said temps would be dropping through the day. .
  4. WWA for Knoxville north up the valley .
  5. Temps are running 4-5° below forecast around Knoxville. Probably won’t mean much because that’s still too warm but one can hope the mods over estimated the temps. .
  6. Knox Co brined our subdivision and I’ve never seen that happen before. .
  7. Thing is I felt like they did ok, especially in my area. Truth is had all the snow that fell stuck, I would have been around 4-5”. I ended up with 2” and all of that came with that last piece of front end thump that moved up the valley and the little backside NW flow. I only saw a little bit of drizzle between the transition to the NW flow and that ended up being bad because by then the temps were 28-30°. .
  8. Is it me or does it seem like downsloping has become an issue the last 5-10 years? I’m 47 and I remember growing up, Knoxville always got a little less than everyone around us but the unofficial rule of thumb was whatever Knoxville was going to get, the surrounding counties to the foothills got about double of that and from the foothills up to the GSM peaks got double of the foothills. I sometimes feel like NWS/MRX tries to out smart themselves. .
  9. To clarify “do well” I’m talking 3-6”, or about 1/2 of what John might get. .
  10. I have this feeling I’m going to do well if temps are not an issue. To my knowledge, downsloping has never been an issue NW of 40. When we get those spring mountain wave events, it’s nothing for Sevierville to be 10-15° warmer than me. .
  11. P type was confusing IMO. Unless the backside rates were high, seemed like there was much more rain area wide than what the clown map suggests. [emoji2371] .
  12. I’m not sure if they have elevation. Part of my reason was I have a friend there. He got between 7-8” last go around. .
  13. I just got Nittos MT’s on my Jeep. It will climb a tree. .
  14. Is it transferring energy to the coast or running the mountains? I’d look myself but I’m in a big poker game .
  15. So much to digest…. And we haven’t thought about what that does with the temps. I hope Mother Nature breaks the mold with this one. .
  16. I asked you because your elevator goes higher than mine [emoji23] Anyway my first thought was slower meant more interaction with the trailing wave which would/could pull it further north. .
