MRX HWO… .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday A storm system will move across the Gulf coast states and spread precipitation into the Tennessee valley and southern Appalachians Tuesday and Tuesday night. A wintry mix of snow, sleet and rain is expected with light snow accumulations possible, mainly across the higher elevations. There is a lot of uncertainty on the exact path and strength of this system. Please stay tuned to further weather updates .

At Aubrey’s in Powell. A heavier band was slow to move through here and laid down about 1/4”. Roads are very wet at 27°. Going to be a problem later. .

We delt with that several years ago. A Low was parked over Michigan the whole winter. Was one of the worst winters I can remember and that’s saying something. .

Bigger precipitation field than I was expecting. Sleet reported north of Nashville but it’s snowing all the way back to the Arkansas/Oklahoma boarder. Not expecting anything outside of elevation in ETn but if 850’s crash before the valley warms up, it might get interesting, especially north of 40. .

Downsloping anyone? 54° and sunny according to the Gatlinburg summit cam. .

It’s amazing how way up north it never quits snowing with negative DP’s but it never fails when we get cold enough, we dry out. .
