  1. Southeast winds ahead of a so/so air mass always win.
  2. 2014 will always be remembered for the dry and wind. We ran 6 working house fires in 6 days and the wind kicked our ass on every call. Lines would freeze 10 minutes into the attack and the wind just wicked away any heat you had once you came out.
  3. Wow thats a jump in the ice. Probably would predicate the watch probably going eaat to Frederick and Carroll and maybe even northern Baltimore.
  4. Man what I'd give for a surprise 150 mile southeast shift.
  5. Snow starting in New Windsor, Carroll county
  6. Couple of mPING reports just west of Harrisonburg. Looks like everything is going according to schedule.
  7. Some mPING reports of snow showing up in far western Garrett County.
  8. I-70 north could jackpot here...could be a solid rush hour thump.
  9. If the 12z guidance looks good across the board, I could see LWX nudging the advisory another tier of counties south.
  10. Man could you imagine even like 0.3" ZR on the trees then a flash freeze into the single digits with wind?
  11. That is an image from Member 41 of the 12z Euro ensemble at HR 96, 12z Sunday. It is showing everyone north of US 50 below freezing at the surface. It's a great image, but just one out of 51 members.
  12. I think @Bob Chill needs to start a separate thread for the weekend event. Only him though because he's magical.
  13. Not sure if already mentioned, and yes it's the NAM so take it for what it's worth, but the 12z run appears to be a bit weaker and further south with the weekend event. It also seems like it wants to give a solid front end thump north of I-66.
  14. Valentines Day 2007 storm comes to my mind.
  15. Another 100 mile shift south would be great.
  16. Cold doesn't look nearly as impressive for early next week on the Euro either. It's a pretty awful run.
  17. Would be nice to get a consolation 1" - 3" on the backside with the deep freeze. Cold and dry is meaningless unless there's at least a few inches of snow on the ground.
