  1. Considering how many of the islands are sinking and the continued rise in sea level, a couple of decades from now, Trumptembers Upsilon may have much less land to fall on. As always....
  2. The beautiful photos posted by members in this forum and others are enough to elevate me. Now if the fresh air and scents could be delivered with the photos, all other stimulants would pale for me. As always ....
  3. Thanks RUNNAWAY, now I’ll be fantasizing about silver hair, powdered, beautifully aged service munchkins in your utopian society. As always ....
  4. I’m willing to pay my share as long as their are older age providers and senior discounts. As always .....
  5. Under strict gov/state/city control to protect the providers, maybe. Privacy issues, medical/maintenance issues and one hell of an interesting civil service entry exam. Probably not likely to happen. As always ....
  6. Perhaps they are practicing for the cold season. As always ......
  7. Lovely photos. Such a scene could have easily been Joyce Kilmer’s inspiration. As always .....
  8. My guess, LB, is that their practicing reactions to what will be normal for them by the tricentennial. As always ....
  9. I believe skierinvermont is also. Although both suggested prep folks are knowledgeable in the extreme, I would probably go to donsutherland, if available. As always......
  10. As one of my favorite singing poets said, “you can leave here for 4 days in space but when you come back it’s the same old place.” As always .....
  11. In that case the five boroughs and my postage stamp can be the Senior Center. A rogue is possible but that’s what it would have to be, As always ....
  12. You are right. Also the only phenomena rarer than snow cover on the postage stamp is frost. Probably why my 35+ year old southern Clime. Camilla's are still alive. As always ....
  13. Good morning, I R, as you can see the one resident maple as viewed from the postage stamp and cushioned by brick and mortar is essentially all green, this middle of October. Nature will eventually send the change, drop and sleep signal. Until then, I’ll watch the seeming evergreen maple and review the lyrics sung by an illustrious frog, Bein’ Green. As always .....
  14. I wish I could forget. The damn mirrors keep reminding me. As always .....
  15. Definitely not a good career move in a world of social distancing. As always .....

  17. Even as a jest this delightful proposal might start an intense discussion in the climate change forum or begin another on Artificial Global Cooling. With 20 feet of elevation, a warm ocean a .few blocks away and a raging UHI, I’ll Need a snow howitzer to keep the postage stamp covered. As always.......
  18. Two decades ago, on another forum, that would have been a DT quote. As always ......

  20. Thank you H man you jogged a pleasant memory. My Vicenza and I were on our honeymoon trip, July 1973. We were on our way back from The Summit resort and enjoying the ride in my 72 Plymouth Satellite. I always wanted to go to Jungle Habitat. My bride had always liked but had a fear of animals. I said this might help us both, well on the safari train cruising at 5mph, windows closed, I had to stop to let a rather large bull rhino cross the road. The Jeep with the two armed guard/attendants were parked in their wrangler by the distant gate. The rhino stopped and turned to face my gently purring car. Whether he thought it was a potential rival or mate I will never know. He started stepping towards us and the Jeep came to life, luckily Fate intervened and after a closer look at the Plymouth the rhino turned and sauntered off. He probably thought he could do better. My bride would have forgiven me that one if I hadn’t tried to get her to feed the animals. She had the feed in her hand but just couldn’t do it. I said it s okay just stand in front of that bamboo fence put your hand out holding the feed and I’ll take a picture of you. To this day I swear I didn’t know there was an adolescent elephant in an enclosure on the other side of the fence. With its nubile trunk it reached over and gently whooshed up the feed from her outstretched hand. I caught her before she’d had run too far. Her screaming was drowned out by laughter. Not mine, I knew better. Later on, heaven bless her she laughed also. Thank you again for helping me remember a happier time. As always ....

  23. Perhaps a Pre-season contest as to how many materialize and bring measurable snow to the forum would be Interesting. Some of the entry’s would be hilarious. As always ....
  24. The postage stamp is home to a large oak, a small maple and two tiny plums. None of them have yet to give the slightest indication of summers end. The way it’s going they will probably drop their leaves out of habit, even though every one will still be green. As always ....
  25. I won’t be one of them Julian. If I want to see fall color, I just take a gander at our Mayors mug after he’s gotten the daily crime report. As always .....
