  1. In that case the five boroughs and my postage stamp can be the Senior Center. A rogue is possible but that’s what it would have to be, As always ....
  2. You are right. Also the only phenomena rarer than snow cover on the postage stamp is frost. Probably why my 35+ year old southern Clime. Camilla's are still alive. As always ....
  3. Good morning, I R, as you can see the one resident maple as viewed from the postage stamp and cushioned by brick and mortar is essentially all green, this middle of October. Nature will eventually send the change, drop and sleep signal. Until then, I’ll watch the seeming evergreen maple and review the lyrics sung by an illustrious frog, Bein’ Green. As always .....
  4. I wish I could forget. The damn mirrors keep reminding me. As always .....
  5. Definitely not a good career move in a world of social distancing. As always .....
  6. I often wonder which forum has the most, admitted or not. As always ......
  7. Even as a jest this delightful proposal might start an intense discussion in the climate change forum or begin another on Artificial Global Cooling. With 20 feet of elevation, a warm ocean a .few blocks away and a raging UHI, I’ll Need a snow howitzer to keep the postage stamp covered. As always.......
  8. Two decades ago, on another forum, that would have been a DT quote. As always ......
  9. I’m not sure if it could exist in that form today. As always ...
  10. Thank you H man you jogged a pleasant memory. My Vicenza and I were on our honeymoon trip, July 1973. We were on our way back from The Summit resort and enjoying the ride in my 72 Plymouth Satellite. I always wanted to go to Jungle Habitat. My bride had always liked but had a fear of animals. I said this might help us both, well on the safari train cruising at 5mph, windows closed, I had to stop to let a rather large bull rhino cross the road. The Jeep with the two armed guard/attendants were parked in their wrangler by the distant gate. The rhino stopped and turned to face my gently purring car. Whether he thought it was a potential rival or mate I will never know. He started stepping towards us and the Jeep came to life, luckily Fate intervened and after a closer look at the Plymouth the rhino turned and sauntered off. He probably thought he could do better. My bride would have forgiven me that one if I hadn’t tried to get her to feed the animals. She had the feed in her hand but just couldn’t do it. I said it s okay just stand in front of that bamboo fence put your hand out holding the feed and I’ll take a picture of you. To this day I swear I didn’t know there was an adolescent elephant in an enclosure on the other side of the fence. With its nubile trunk it reached over and gently whooshed up the feed from her outstretched hand. I caught her before she’d had run too far. Her screaming was drowned out by laughter. Not mine, I knew better. Later on, heaven bless her she laughed also. Thank you again for helping me remember a happier time. As always ....

  13. Perhaps a Pre-season contest as to how many materialize and bring measurable snow to the forum would be Interesting. Some of the entry’s would be hilarious. As always ....
  14. The postage stamp is home to a large oak, a small maple and two tiny plums. None of them have yet to give the slightest indication of summers end. The way it’s going they will probably drop their leaves out of habit, even though every one will still be green. As always ....
  15. I won’t be one of them Julian. If I want to see fall color, I just take a gander at our Mayors mug after he’s gotten the daily crime report. As always .....
  16. No Forky, the silence would be worse. As long as the discussion is civil let it continue and prove its own points. Those of us that have less between the Ears than many of the prime poster benefit by being able to read and appreciate the passion. Even if the saltwater is up to our ankles. Besides it would be like someone telling you to stop trolling which would be sad because when it comes from you it’s fun to reply. Let the talk continue, As always ....
  17. Morning IR. The postage stamp is still green, sorta. Considering that their are Ten families, 3 restaurants, 1 store, 1 house of worship and one daycare/pre school on a plot of land probably equal to one home in your neighborhood, fall should be delayed awhile longer. The postage stamp was going throug G R long before it became a popular topic, Be well, as always .....
  18. No longer, Anthony, just a spirit. As always .......
  19. Very interesting graph, B. From a non skilled background and just looking at the last 700 years it sure looks like our species could have had some responsibility for reversing what might have been the end of the last interglacial period. As always ....
  20. It could most certainly hurt to be your avatar in that weather, although you could be Forky’s. As always .....
  21. Thank goodness for the test result. On another note at my age, heritage and regarding the source of your common cold infection, it’s the only part of my carcass, where I can accurately, if not proudly, say mine is bigger than yours. As always
  22. Thank you, Don. Excellent article for a common persons ease of understanding. Considering the, as described, human initiated fix, the article could have easily been subtitled, Damned if you do/Damned if you don’t. The natural balancing, to right the global problem, when it comes, will be out of our hands. As always ....
  23. From what I’ve read in the New England forum, their is a growing concern for the droughts effects on the flora and the potential for fire. Your fine graphic underlines their fears. As always.....
  24. I hope an accommodation can be reached. I feel curbside use and an indefinite general extension of outdoor dining may serve the restaurants well. As always ......
