NAEFS for the second week of April...looks like very normal conditions.  Its showing below norm around the lakes because of cold lake water...

I'll take normal temps in April!

Brewers have a horrible schedule in April...lots of good teams from last year...  Yankees come to Miller Park in May!

Exactly they need as many games as possible to pay for those enormous contacts.

If they were to eliminate the first part of the season all MLB sales for Merchandise and tickets prices would go up 25-30% i don't think people will pay extra to go see a baseball game in June at 1:00 on a weekday...

Anyone know how good it is with values of anomalies? I tend to use it more to pick out areas of above/below average.

I don't have any stats to back it up but it's seemed to do a decent job this winter with the anomaly values in a general sense and placement. A good example was with Morch 2012, the anomaly forecast for that month from February was off the charts positive.

Still have a bit under 1/2 my yard with snow cover with some 4' piles still around.  Yet the last 24 hours where the most melt I have seen.  Ice fishing guys are still on the lake as the ice is still over 12" thick though it is being to honeycomb so I am not going out there!!

Looking forward to this stuff melting all off but it looks like a good couple/few weeks before the lake thaws here!!!

Few stories on the Great Lake Ice:

Looks wet here through the end of the week. 12z NAM has 1.46" and the GFS has 2.15"...both totals through 0z 4/5. And naturally, the 12z NAM ends it with 0.3" of snow at LAF.

Also, wouldn't be surprised to see some frozen here sometime in the April 7-10 timeframe.

Ensembles look cool through the middle of the month. The beat goes on.
