  1. Past hour
  2. Well we wont have mud. Central Texas didnt get stuck with feet of snow like the Northeast did this winter. Sunshine and hell hot is something we are very, very good at. The southeasterlies set up, dews climb to prodigious heights then it gets nice and hot. And cloudless. Most of Texas should be clear to maybe partly cloudy, should be pretty good eclipse weather. Famous. Last. Words. Watch us end up with a rare Gulf Low that clouds Austin up with heavy rain all damn day April 8, while the rest of the country gets wall to wall sunshine and an unseasonable heat wave lmao! You know, somehow, I really wouldnt be surprised. I am OLD. This is my very last chance to see a total solar eclipse in America. I'm in bad shape. I will NOT see the 2040s. I will be very lucky to see 65. Yeah, April 8 will be thick dark clouds in Texas, record rains with absolutely FRANTIC emergency water rescues, over four feet of rain in a 7 hour period in Travis and Hays Counties shattering records since the Civil War in the mid 19th Century. And I spend the entire day clinging desperately to a tree, screaming for help until I am fooking hoarse, while 57 foot deep waters rage all around me! Connecticut will be sunny and cloudless with record hot weather, setting new 200 year records making me wish heartily I had gone to Connecticut to see the eclipse because Texas is so wet during a total eclipse from record rains from a 3500 mile long line of training thunderstorms. The ONE time in my whole life I never wanted rain in Texas ---- WE WILL GET IT ----- On April 8th, the Day of the Total Eclipse. Bank on it. With serious interest. Hey, there's still time for me to board a flight to Connecticut.
  3. Thanks, but there's more to that story. She picked up c diff after she got to the rehab facility and is having a really difficult time battling it, and it shut down her physical therapy totally for the past two weeks. Her outcome is iffy at the moment.
  4. Today
  5. Shipping “experts” say that it would’ve taken a ship that size, with that much weight, over a mile to come to a stop.
  6. heavy rain moving upwards into nyc/northeast nj.
  7. On January 12th, DTW saw 1.04" precip and 4.6" snow, and that was all snow except the last 0.04". It's like walking through Mashed potatoes.
  8. I love that you love seeing it dump in the Sierras. I'm going to Tahoe the first week of May for work and plan to spend a day or two spring skiing at Palisades... looks like they'll be running well into late May at least! I've never been out there so really looking forward to it. Unbelievable
  9. Come see the eclipse in Texas. No mud. No cloudy skies. Just wall to wall sunshine, beautiful 87/66 weather to witness the best eclipse of your life!
  10. I would charter a plane and go all-in on totality!
  11. That wind is REALLY BLOWING THAT SNOW OFF THE ROOF!!!!!!!! https://www.mammothmountain.com/on-the-mountain/mammoth-webcam/main-lodge
  12. Your kind of weather! Raining lightly here, up to 0.50" for the day. 46F currently.
  13. It's basically been a Vancouver winter here in SNE. Much more rain than even Seattle. At least the Mid-Atlantic is warmer and actually has seen 80 degrees already.
  14. Over 9" of precip for the month. Make it stop.
  15. Average high in Austin is now 73. However, I am still up for and I am definitely ALL IN for BIG crippling Sierra snows! I NEVER get enough. Not even in a killer ice age. Like James Bond said, The World Is Not Enough. Hoth is a fictional world but if it were real, Hoth would not be enough. I NEVER ever get enough snow, ice and vodka Siberian COLD and 190 mph Sierran wind gusts blowing that snow right off the lodge roof! And savoring all the ski patrol crews getting completely punked out from digging snow!
  16. Average high in DC is now 60. Bye bye winter. I’m ready for spring.
  17. Companies will have to have their goods retrucked then repicked up at another port, for G-d knows how long. Its gonna cost them tons then we get to pay up. Someone needs to pay BIG for this shyte. This is ridiculous! They KNEW that boat had power problems! They used that son of a birch ANYWAY! Russia has the right idea. You pull that shyte in Murmansk, you get awarded a quarter in Siberia! That entire boat crew needs to be utterly destroyed in court, then in the Supermax in Colorado with no mercy!
  18. Even more appropriate…”Here comes the rain again”(The Eurhythmics-1983).
  19. I feel terrible about all the companies whose shipping is piling up outside that accident area. And for all the shipping trapped for G-d knows how long INSIDE the disaster zone! It's gonna cost a few million dollars. Maybe slightly more.
  20. Mammoth and Palisades are both under the gun for heavy snow again! It's been snowin and blowin all day! https://www.mammothmountain.com/on-the-mountain/mammoth-webcam/main-lodge https://www.palisadestahoe.com/mountain-information/webcams#tab=palisades Snow will pour down hard into late Sunday night!
  21. It’s a definite move towards the consensus though lol. Not surprisingly.
  22. 0z NAM still likes eastern areas
  23. That's a ton of rainfall for the Eastern parts. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
