Based on my observations this season in general warmth has trended a little colder this year once we’re inside of 5 days so I’m not mad seeing the boundary modeled a little north.

GFSAI has precip back into the mountains for Sunday! It’s a full on SECS. EuroAI still has precip past DC. AI models either going to win glory or shame.

20 degrees and 5 mph wind. Is it just me? Or is NWS avoiding talking much about upcoming snow totals?

The current forecast of ice box cold, warm up and rain, back to ice box, then warm up and rain, is weather torture for our forum area. For it to happen in December and January is particularly brutal. Especially with a potential second year in a row of "once in 50 years" type snow possible near the Gulf due to the air behind our first rain maker tonight.

Is there anything to push that boundary south next weekend? Otherwise it looks to be setting up heartbreak. After a cold week, Great snows just to our north on the 6z GFS. That wouldn't be fun.

Saturday fading fast.. However, we might save Sunday, we'll gladly sacrifice Saturday to get a regionwide event Sunday.. Litchfield county and points NW favored for 2"+ from this.. Looking like a coating to an inch for most others or white rain..

I just heard WTIC say 2 to 5 inches N.W. CT and western Mass, coating to 2 inches S.E. CT

Looks like snow starts in CT prior to day break then a lull before the heavier stuff moves in here late morning into afternoon

Lots of waffling in the forecast for Sunday p.m. from WTIC on the drive in today. They're going for C-2" s.e. and 2-5" n.w. and western Mass CT for tomorrow

Luckily the Saturday stuff is shifting NW to mae way for Sunday night hopefully. I think it’s more of a reflection of the trough allowing a closer pass.
