Meltdown's R Us. What's Buried Is Seen Again...

I don’t recall that after 2015. First time I’ve ever seen it.

Caps up 3-0 in the first, let's see how the blow this one.

Dam…never ever had a problem ever by doing it the way I stated. My dad was a lawn nut…And this is how we operated and never ever had an issue. If what you say is true…then that fungus must not exist around here. Nobody has it here who operates the way I said.

shocker - that El Niño can't get fired up soon enough. I've got plants that look starved at the moment.

Broken clock. This time, I swear, it’s gonna work out. We get Storms of the Century like 19 times per century.

My man. Glad to have you on the bus. I’m ashamed of my own forum right now. Been crying myself to sleep over this forum.

But it was only 240 hours that's like stone cold mortal lock -
Thats not how it works, it can make it worse if its a little longer, but I cut mine down to 2 inches in the fall and still get it bad most years. Its a fungus lying dormant in the soil until the conditions are ripe for it to appear(long lasting snowcover). It doesnt matter if its short or long, the fungus is still there in the soil. Fertilized lawns are more likely to get it as well. Certainly grass types are more susceptible as well.

Central PA Spring 2026 Discussion/Obs Thread

Lol, all that NE thread does is constantly stir the pot & bicker with each other. I try to sift through it from time to time, mostly to see a few knowledgeable quality long time poster’s thoughts. Most of it is short post nonsense that adds no value. They are more there to piss each other off than to talk about weather, it seems most of the time. NYC thread is similar. It’s a shame how Anthony gets treated on there. -
Yeah but an unsigned extension may not have caused this...someone suggested the Ravens are purposely not announcing it as a smokescreen to make it appear they don't have the space. But yeah the holes are glaring (though a center replacement could be in-house)...I'm perfectly fine with trading more picks to fill holes if necessary. And it is just Day 1 so let's see what happens. And btw...the only loss I really blame on them is Likely...they had no business extending Andrews. Likely wanted to be TE1 and we shoulda made him that, imo

Have the heat set on 70 and hasn't run all day. Feels nice and cool in here. Love the thermal mass of 6" yellow pine logs.

What happened to all the glorious snow maps that were being posted the last couple days? Gone poof? Does that mean its over? No silly snow maps, so no chance of a storm? Fucking dead in here. Looking at you @Weather Will The answer ofc is no. The h5 pattern largely looks the same, so potential remains. Devil is in the details- meaning, as usual, wave timing, interplay, and spacing. Sure its not a high probability given climo, but its silly to geek out over day 8-10 day snow maps then disappear when they go poof. Have some sticktoitiveness ffs.

Yeah the second storm had a very tight snow gradient near 495. We had about 16” but once you went like 5-10 miles inside 495 it was mostly rain.

He’ll just say he’s keeping it real, and just speaking the truth.

I'm perfectly fine with Winter being over. It was a good one this year, no complaints. And and the weather today is superb and tomorrow will be just as nice. If something comes along that surprises us in the next two weeks, it'll just be icing on the cake. I'm ready to get back into my yard!

Usually you only get snowmold if you don’t cut it short enough on the last cut in the fall. Grass lays down on itself when left too long(in height). You get all the leaves off, then cut it nice and short and tight…and you have no worries/problems when you do that.

I know some of you turned your AC on today. Smh.

Nothing but complaining . Not a good way to keep friends or wives

Even with these nice days, I would still check ahead to see who has their outdoor space operating this early. With that said, South County Brewing (site of the old Pressroom) should have a nice outdoor area back on the ‘ol Steinman Park patio. Also, don’t think they have any outdoor seating but if you haven’t been Southern Market is a really cool spot. -
People on main thread arguing over 300 hour models…save me. there’s a reason you wait for 120 hours. In any case we’re almost certainly not done with winter yet; recent years have seen cold stretches get as deep into spring as early May. A nice moderate snowstorm to cap it all off would be lovely. Something like April 2018 with 5-6” that evaporated by early afternoon.
