  1. Past hour
  2. Another day approaching the mid 90s as sea turned into a land breeze here. What a summer.
  3. Play the lottery tonight. Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk
  4. The high temperature potential gets a little lower following each deluge. We were 103°-105° back in June. Then the record rains a few weeks ago. So this warm up only made it to 101° -103°. Maybe when the temps rebound again after the first week of August the max potential will only be 97° -100°. We’ll see how it goes.
  5. Was 96° in North Concord driving home…most of the ride was 92-95°. CON was at least 95°. Peaked at 88.5° here. Looks like showers moving in.
  6. Yeah you're probably right. I just saw one of those articles, lol If there's plenty of control, it would make sense!
  7. I forget where but I thought I read that evidence is growing for yet another heatwave the week of August 11th to the 18th. Have you seen anything about that?

    Winter 2025-26

Too soon to talk about volcanoes and winter?
  9. Islip reached 95 for the fifth time this year. That ties 2025 with 1966 and 2010 for the second most such days. The record of seven days was set in 1999.
  10. Another issue is the winds stay up in the city at night while they go dead in rural areas, adding to the UHI woes.
  11. maybe a few tornadic supercells are southern PA tomorrow...though 0-1 shear ay be a bit weak
  12. Why are you following young boys on Twitter.. and even worse posting them here?
  13. I get that, I'm not denying that it's warming. But our summers that are more dewpoint driven are obviously going to to have higher lows as well, and the effect is more noticeable where a UHI is present. Like last night I was in the 70s where some places in the city were literally still 90 or close.
  14. 99 degrees near LGA, but 27% humidity. It has definitely felt worse.
  15. 96 Definitely real feels arent all that bad today compared to a host of other days
  16. It’s about time for our August deluge. The warm 77 degree waters will give plenty of fuel.
  17. Looks like our 2nd chance this summer for some part of the area going 5”+ with the record dew points and PWATS. limatologist49‬ ‪@climatologist49.bsky.social‬ · 9d Stations that have recorded at least 5" of precipitation in a day in 2025 through July 19th. Most of these are CoCoRaHS stations. 4
