  1. Past hour
  2. Snowing hard now with nice sized dendrites. Seeing some yellow on radar. Hopefully this lasts for awhile.
  3. 27F Dp27 winds NW@6 not official but looks like 3-4”moderate snow still falling but looks like one more heavy to come through and that’s all she wrote out this way should be all said and done by 7ish. I’ll measure in a little bit. Congrats Mt. Holly spot on forecast out here in western Berks
  4. At least everything is white. Pretty with the xmas lights!
  5. Maybe an inch in Arlington . Curious what the total precip will be.
  6. I don’t think I could get more than a 0.5” measurement off my deck right now. I’m calling it a night but will trust whatever comes in spotter report-wise for me. really kinda had 1.5” as my floor… whoops
  7. 35 and finally flipped to all snow, let’s see what we can get out of this.
  8. Columbia 5:45am. Nice snow ongoing! Temp 32° Eyeballing 1”-2” OTG
  9. But hey...it has snowed a couple times this December and it has been cold. Maybe we are slowly turning the corner to bringing December back as a winter month. March snow is rude
  10. 2.0 dumping in Havre de Grace. Glad I woke up
  11. I was at 33 at 7 pm, then went up to 37 and once precip started back down to 33 and just now 32 as the back edge nears. The 4 degree rise can be attributed to the pooling of warmer air ahead of the front, kind of like the burst of temps before summer tstorms arrive. You should do much better over there, CAPE.
  12. Man I hope Mt Holly was right about that 1-2" call.
  13. I'm a little hesitant to answer your question.because, for some reason, last winter you just couldn't seem to get it through that thick skull of your's that I completely agree with you that for the most part, long-range forecast models are inadequate and unreliable forecasting tools for the middle alantic and northeast, for synoptic winter events, but I try not to p*** off the people that dont on a daily basis. I read and remember enough to know that the euro and gfs have been in different camps since at least friday.
  14. I think it’s the rates that are hamstringing us. Yes temps are at play too. But in the heavy busts I had, things whitened up proper. I think Im good for an inch tho. So there’s that.
  15. 12/2 - 0.7” 12/14- 0.3” total- 1.0” climo = 26.5” 2024-25: 17.2” 2023-24: 15.7” 2022-23: 5.3” 2021-22: 15.2”
  16. So I was way off on eye balling… 3.5” here and still coming down. That’s on the snowboard. Only about 1-2” on the roads. Great rates right now.
  17. Temp fell to 32 here within an hour of precip starting but rates have generally been light since. That's the bigger problem when we are looking at a short duration event.
  18. 0.3” total. Colder air is sweeping in now.
  19. Snowing in Lansdowne nice flake size pretty outside...not much else to say
