Other than that one day shot, guidance looks N to AN overall.

First time seeing rain in feels like forever lol

After getting off to a very hot start MLI is now -6.3" of snow for the season, and will likely reach double digits fairly soon.
-
You will have that within a week
-
That’s big cold to me verbatim. Especially for late Feb imo.

Not expecting much talk in the other thread but there’s a strong signal for a boundary to setup somewhere on Wednesday with a train of moisture running along it. Wherever that zone sets up there could be significant snowfall. NAM and Euro are further north into NY/VT/NH while the GFS is further south.

Don't know what the definition of cold is but all models have some pretty impressive cold shots. With PV disruption it's likely we see these quick shots of TPV

CTP has hinted at very minimum precip all week and ultimately that’s the kill shot. I of course am happy so I don’t empty my innards starting In a few hours for naught lol -
The ensembles show this - some moderation and then another cool down in early March with a favorable 500 mb setup for some storminess. Not sure why anyone would see the “back broken” or a long term below normal temps. It’s neither, which is the type of pattern that is more likely to get us a bigger storm than the other two.

Gonna need that PAC jet to relax on the ensembles

Not that it means anything, but I’m holding at 44. Like WxUSAF said I need that free car wash. Bring that half inch qpf on.

Strongly agree.

Probably more favorable than 2023...my guess is somewhere in between. Not especially cold (that is done), but good bet at a strong storm with some blocking. -

Looking at verification, I’d say cansips did well everywhere except enso and tropical atl regions. -
You all may think I'm nuts or that I'm just wishing but... This has been a weird winter for us.. been very cold this winter with 1 good snow event.. I just got a feeling that were all gonna get 1 big one on the East Coast before winters over . Maybe late Feb, early March.

People are going to be pissed next weekend when we get throttled back into winter after some near 80° days this week.
