  2. Our avg # of 95F+ days per decade 1870s- 1 1880s- 1 1890s- 2 1900s- 0 1910s- 2 1920s- 1 1930s- 6 1940s- 4 1950s- 4 1960s- 1 1970s- 2 1980s- 2 1990s- 2 2000s- 1 2010s- 3 2020s- 1
  3. Yes this could be our last big heat for the season so it would be nice to go out with a bang lol.
  4. Is there another way to post pictures? The attachments are too big when you try to post from phone.
  5. our record for 90 and 95 and 100 degree days is now 2010, but before that it was 1983 and before that 1966 and before that 1949, 1953, 1955 hold those records.
  6. Do you know why or what changed so we can’t just copy and paste Imgur links onto the site anymore? It was the only way I could post pictures
  7. Just going by number of 90 degree days, 1983 had our record prior to 2010. JFK did this amazing thing in 1983, 100 degrees in both July and August and then we hit 99 on 9/11/83 with 7 90 degree days just in September, 37 for the season. 1983 was hot June, July, August and September. I don't go by average temperatures, NWS ranks summer heat by number of 90 degree days. We can extend that to very hot summers by ranking them by 95 degree days or even 100 degree days.
  8. Looking north up the Hudson from Hoboken. Can’t see the GWB.
  9. Looks like a light Pilsner there? https://imgur.com/a/vQZI1HR
  10. Yes. Ive been saying that for years. Laughing when I see some article predicting a magical increase from an average of 12-13 days per year to like 40 in a decade or two. Been seeing that garbage since the 1990s. Its not happening with increasing dewpoints. We had a spike in the 2010s after a dip in the 2000s. Just two years ago, 2023 became the first year since 1915 to not have a temp hotter than 90F.
  11. On my first. Which is not close to amount of marijuana cigarettes you’ve inhaled this afternoon.
  12. Yeah but I won’t be wearing shorts once it’s down into the 50’s overnight or only 70’s during the day and we lose the humidity.
  13. Radar folded faster than a WSW in January lol. Hopefully it juices back up again.
  14. I’m really going to miss summer. It’s so much easier wearing shorts and getting up at like 5 to get the dog out…so easy just to throw on pajama pants. It’s going to suck in winter when it’s still pitch dark out and freezing and having to dress up.
  15. I'm thinking mid 90s on Monday and upper 90s to near 100 Tueday and Wednesday. Quite a heat wave, but that will be it for the heat for awhile. Next Friday and Saturday look beautiful with low 80s and low humidity.
  16. Radar looks like trash. Looked much healthier around 2-3pm.
  17. But that's what I mean, though--they gained full control around June--just before the season started teetering. So realistically it's not like they could come in just before the second half drop off and sign everybody real quick, lol So really this past off-season was the first real opportunity to extend somebody. But...again was the timing for both sides right?
