It’s funny driving around there’s a lot of oaks that lost a lot of leaves, and then literally right in my specific neighborhood, they’re all laughing at me.

Temps dropping faster than your boy's approval rating

Oaks dropping leaves faster than Dendy’s chickens with Wolfie angry and prowling

Temps dropping quicker than our 401ks at Dendy land.

I feel like we know what every winter forecast is going to be. Overall above average temps and precip. Snowfall predictions will come down to either keeping it in the single digits because of the above average temps, or calling your shot on 15”-20”+ because of a big one having just the right timing. Then there will be those that just take the “safe” route and go in-between those two options. The funny thing being that the people shouting that a shutout type of winter is in play, and the ones saying the big one is in play, don’t have much different winter outlooks. It’ll ultimately come down to luck with timing.

I took today off for no other reason than I could. What a day. My wife pointed out that the mini red maple look extra red. Not sure if its because everything around its brown and orange but she might be on to something.

I'd bet against cold with this PAC Jet roaring in.

I think I read this somewhere before...Something like a rider on a white horse, red horse, black horse, and pale horse then lilacs re-blooming in November. Probably nothing.

The benchmark track though has truly been absent now for years. Its much like the January 87 track has been gone now for seemingly 30 years or so. We rarely if ever see that coastal runner type deal anymore since we went to the +PDO dominant phase around 95. I think its harder long term to lose the BM track as you have the Gulf Stream playing a role but many have pointed out the last 8 years or so how insanely consistent the inland or way suppressed track has been. -

Here's the composite outcome for an AO-/EPO- pattern for the November 15-December 15 period: Nevertheless, there is an unpleasant warmer cluster: If North America is flooded with Pacific Air courtesy of the ongoing strong El Niño and/or the EPO-/AO- fails to develop, warmer outcomes would be on the table. One clue might be how much warmth is in Canada 5-10 days before the forecast period. If Canada is largely covered by warm anomalies, particularly within five days of the development of the EPO-/AO- pattern, that has often been a precursor to the warmer cluster.
