Amazing there wasn't, and still isn't, no mention of this light snow in Mt Holly's forecast.

18 degrees this morning, was ll degrees when I went to bed last night. Dusting but it seems mostly on cars, road isn’t covered at all.

Had a coating of snow when I walked outside at 515 this morning and had light snow driving in to work.

So far have a 1/4" coating from snow that happened between midnight and 3 am and it's currently SN- and 21 with dp 15. My temp actually bottomed out at 20 just after 1:30 am.

Weenie sound-effect band over the North Fork. 0.5"/hour possible per the SWS. Somebody could wake up with a couple inches. Light snow falling here. Looks like it will continue for a little. Maybe another half inch or so by dawn

It was a very impressive looking storm on satellite combined with a local max in my area so it’s one I remember fondly. But yeah, that period was unbelievable. I grew up through so many central NJ snowstorms they blend together - and I mean big dogs. Not 2-6 events. Lived between Monmouth and Middlesex the first half of that period and down where I am now in northern Ocean the second half.

Got down to 16, then came up to 22 and is now snowing! Awesome winter day with that squall this morning. Never got warmer than 27 after that. Frankly this might be my favorite winter day in a long time, monster storm not required. @NorthShoreWx Same conditions to your southwest here along the western border of Toms River. It’s getting us both atm. Absolutely beautiful out right now.

Perfect fetch for LIS effect snow into the north fork right now. @wthrmn654 might wake up to a surprise. 21⁰ with light snow in Smithtown at 2am. Temp had been down to 16⁰ earlier.

Read Mt. Holly's AFD AFD from KPHI - and the 0Z GFS is hinting at the Northern disturbance possibly connecting with the LP to the south if the trough sharpens more some parts of the area could see some snow. It just seems to want to snow this season - its snowing here now and there was only a 20 % chance - ground is covered again along with cars

I think until we get a decent snow event that comes to fruition there will be cliff jumpers any time there’s even the most slight projected warmup

Yeah. Maybe what fell at first for me was melting before the temperature dropped. Per KFRG's hourly temps, and from what I've gathered here about the timing, looks like the temps were just above freezing for hours before the event, was about 35 at the outset and 28 by the time it ended.
