  3. Saw a stat that KOC and the Vikings are 15-3 when he has a ginger starting at QB. Let's hope he keeps that going with Wentz. I'm nervous about JJ Ponder when he gets healthy, he just seems a bit too jittery. I feel bad for the commanders and RG4 but that's the risk with a mobile QB who is super skinny.
  4. WB 13Z HRRR has thunderstorms moving across northern tier this afternoon.
  5. exciting game but also disappointing that we lost
  6. Currently 64.6/63.8 with light rain (about 0.05" so far in the gauge) after a 58.3 low. Started a bit after 9 am. Hope it continues for a while, the grass that has come up already is happy.
  7. Some of the best color I’ve seen around here in at least 5 years or so. That wet summer and then this last stretch really setting things up nicely . And very early too. Trees are 10 days ahead at least
  8. I will tell you what a wasted season is. When a 10 year old brat gets handed a foul ball that was mine.
  9. The Adirondacks and high peaks area is awesome. Pure wilderness. What elevation are you at? Gotta be decent when like the lowest elevations are like 1,300ft.
  10. Our yearly christmas beach picture in flip flops. 3 years in a row now.
  11. Yes it was both cold and dry, DC got more snow than we did lol. (this was common during the 80s). When we did get a storm up here in December 1989 that was supposed to be a big snowstorm it changed to rain very quickly LOL, a diametrically opposite bust from the virga storm of February 1989
  12. shame. As i get older, i appreciate the 60° dew days more and more. Nothing worse than cracked dry hands when the temps and dews start dropping in autumn.
  13. NHC has this near the Azores as a hurricane Friday.
  14. est ... 'deepEST' does better there lol
  15. Might be the last deep summer day until Christmas?
  16. it's the NAM so ... it's skimpier on QPF areal coverage and amounts than other guidance. there's an old saying that dry begets dry ... heh, NAM and a saying, vs all other models
  17. With the name Karen on the list, we better make it to K or what a waste of a season and name lol
  18. That’s expected. Note that little upper level low to the west. It’s pretty robust, showing just how busy things are. Not a lot of spacing. Shear will be an issue for a few days I think but the guidance is showing a stronger environment for development near the Bahamas eventually. Still, a lot to sort out there as @NorthHillsWx noted some potential roadblocks earlier.
  19. random thought once the clouds claim the sky later in the day ... wondering if the sun will not be seen again until Saturday.
  20. Incredible changes are afoot. At Akron-Canton Regional Airport in Ohio, just 0.29" of rain was observed between August 1 and September 21. Yesterday, more than 5x that amount fell - and all on or after 3 pm. The final daily tally was 1.46 inches of rain for the 22nd.
