Mostly XMacis. -
lol, maybe the 2020 derecho as well. We really don't need the rain anyway (over 4" for July), so it's all good.

Please stop drinking, washing clothes, showering, washing the car, watering the lawn and some other everyday stuff. That aquifer under the sand bar needs some help And where is it that the water comes from that comes out of those hoses? Rain maybe? Nah... -
what are you paying for? has to be something with a big up-front cost.
-
Nailed it. Received nothing.

interesting question… would ya’ll trade theclimatechanger straight up for cromartie?

Extremely pleasant humidity levels corresponding to comfortable dewpoints in the 50s - a rarity in modern Detroit in mid to late July. A swamp cooler would probably work better than central air in such conditions. Under those atmospheric conditions, the heat index would be lower than the actual air temperature.

25000 people lived in Newark back in 1845 compared to over 310k now. Doesn't even compare. -
July 2025 Obs/Disco ... possible historic month for heat
Damage In Tolland replied to Typhoon Tip's topic in New England
If we get a storm tomorrow that drops close to an inch.. dews will stay somewhat elevated. Turn that flow back from the south Sunday off that warm current and they’re right back -
I never said it wasnt. In fact. I said its gross and that I havent set foot outside. But for one day this heat sure got overkill media coverage compared to past hot spells. The hottest time of year here is July 13-20 though its still firmly the dog days. Hot and humid conditions are common, and everyone knows how to deal with them. In the 1930s people didnt have the luxury of AC.

Extreme and dangerous heat across southeast Michigan, with mid and upper 90s common across the area. I'd be willing to bet the heat indices, which are a better measure of heat stress, are every bit as high today as in the 1934 heat wave.

Last competition was June 11. Played my first 18 holes today since July 5. Bit rusty. Need to shake it off quick. Have the Nashua City Championship this weekend. Round 1: Sky Meadow Round 2: Nashua Country Club

I cannot remember a lake shadow as bad as this summer in my life. Storms used to happen at night unaffected by the lake. It used to rain at night. Now all convection is diurnal and completely dictated by local geography.

You and your family are in my thoughts. LLS is a great organization.
