  1. Past hour
  2. Power was out for about an hour and a half. It was the alert from PSEG that woke me up.
  3. Yeah that Mar 7-8th 2018 insane storm, had a CG strike very close by while i was outside. Felt like a summertime convective clap, not just a distance rumble
  4. Pines detonating. Destructionbury putting on a show. Power in and out.
  5. It’s not a dry slot, just subsidence. Still over an inch per hour rates, I’m in the middle of it. .
  6. Banding seems to be setting up with a bit of a subsidence screw zone from Stamford on down through western Nassau. Hard to tell how much snow is coming down with these winds though.
  7. Looks like Janet got hosed closing up all Maine state offices!
  8. Looks like a gravity wave rolled right through there before it opened up.
  9. Those perfectly round holes are classic carpenter bees! They love soft wood. Sounds chilly there. Stay warm and keep an eye on that railing.
  10. Good morning! 1/4 S+. Can't quite tell how much, but snow is caked to everything and the winds are ramping up. Not a chance the pup goes out today.
  11. That CT band west of HVN should rot there into aftn.
  12. I have a memory of a goldfish when it comes to this stuff, but mar 2018 sounds about right. It’s been a long time. Haven’t had thundersnow here yet but it’s sick even without that
  13. I caught a transformer blowing and the power going out (other side of our street...we're still on for the moment) at 5:21 am: https://www.instagram.com/p/DVGObqykfDt/?igsh=NWl2N3VwYTczZWVj The second video was a few moments before.
  14. Can you please send a source confirming those wind gusts? What altitude are they measured at? Montauk Airport has seen gusts to 52 mph.
  15. I haven’t looked at any official measurements, but it was pretty darn windy here at least a little while ago. Rattling the windows and the snow was falling sideways. I don’t know how much snow I’ve had because of the wind, but I’m thinking at least an inch maybe two and it looks like we’re finally getting a push in the radar, but the dry air may eat that up, I suppose.
  16. we've had thundersnow around here at least 5-6 storms that i can think of. Feb 2001, Feb 2003, Feb 2013, Feb 2017, Mar 2018. I missed one of those. I could be forgetting others but those i know for sure.
  17. We are going to dry slot between the bands before the band to the west of us gets here.
  18. 8° here with moderate snow and a lot of wind. The power has gone out momentarily two or three times since 5 Sent from my Pixel 10 Pro using Tapatalk
