Judging from radar looks like most of this came in the last 2 hours. We were mostly light snow until then. When I got up at 2:30 there was maybe .5”. 32F right on the button.

6.0" so far here in East Nantmeal with Heavy Snow continuing and 31.3 degrees, 3.0" has fallen since 2:30am

Closing in on 3” and if eye-balling a liquid ratio is a thing it’s probably around 6:1. Jebber completed which was beautiful with the stickage and peaceful as you’d imagine at 4 am. Time for a nap as it won’t be as peaceful when the kids wake up.

4-5" looks spot on right now. South Central Jersey will get the enhanced rates for a longer period. Some 6-8" amounts likely there.

Just checked other pws obs, most are at 32 and mine seems to be a warm spot. Maybe others nearby are doing better than me. eta: dropped to 32.9 and seeing some back building on radar, maybe we got time

I think the radiant nature of the flake definitely made for a clumpy lay around here, and there was quite a bit of melting throughout the storm . I took several measurements, all were between 2.2" and 2.5" but my guess would be, it could have been more like 3" to 3.5" with a better surface.

Not surprised w the graupel type snow I’m seeing

3.75" so far. This is perfect snowball snow.

There’s gotta be some thin warm layer above the surface as I’m getting styrofoam or graupel type snowflakes no dendrites

National Park NJ 4:08 am First inch of snow of the 2025-26 season 32 degrees with moderate snow

At 4:00 am up to 2.3" at 32F so 0.7" the last hour and it's snowing close to heavily with beautiful 3/8" dendrites. Thinking we'll come close to my 5.0" forecast, but not sure if we'll make the 6" warning criterion.

Probably 90% snow in DC. Deck furniture starting to try and cave as rates improve.
