In terms of a QPF underperformance, RAH predicted the triangle to get 1.25-1.50” QPF up until go time basically. RDU recorded 0.50” for the entire event

Not sure how much felt last night, but I think there was a band that was pretty intense for a little while although that might’ve been a little south of me towards Concord. Going to be hard to measure but just walking around this morning in the dark I would guess 11 or 12 inches was more blowing and drifting than I expected. Still light snow falling pretty steadily but no radar returns

They’ve really only had one storm to speak of. Boston been getting hit but other areas south of there been pretty tame until this event. Which even that probably similar to our Thanksgiving weekend storm.

The main takeaways for me on this definitely complex winter storm event was the CTX/ETX icing. But particularly the strong, wintry thunderstorms with lots of CG strikes. Which the models surprisingly, did get right on the very abnormally high 850 Mb instability in the grids (for an Arctic airmass scenario). That, was just pure insane.

It'll fill in today. Should tack on a couple more if this regeneration is robust enough.

Not quite there yet in North Central VT. 11” of pure feathery fluff but steadily snowing still. We are supposed to get enhancement from the upper trough passage this PM so I am hoping to maybe get to 14”.

Need to clear this snow in a manner that will accommodate another dumpage!!! Love it - it’s been years.
