  1. Past hour
  2. Coating of snow on all surfaces here with visibility dropping below 1 mile
  3. As cloudiness has prevailed this afternoon, a non initialized warm front is evident.
  4. I think the trough shifting back NW makes sense given climatology. I also know that LR models like to end winter with that....only to have the entire trough come crashing SE w/ one good cutter. I suspect we have a really big cold snap coming...timing TBD, but I would guess LC has this nailed to the wall.
  5. Still looks like the classic cutter track. I shoveled out around my storm drains yesterday. These rain events which follow snow within a few days tend to at least cause street flooding if the storm drains still have snow over them.
  6. Went to 5 this morning. High today has been 33.
  7. Just played ball in 65 and sunshine here in southern Nevada and just peeked at the radar. Looks like a snow shower moving thru FDK? Do I miss it? Nope lol. Will I be ready for a snowstorm when I get back in a week or two? Yep. Though I guess it looks like a milder pattern incoming there for a bit.
  8. Thanks for letting me know to put an period at the end of that sentence.
  9. Light snow with a quick dusting.
  10. Beginning to lighten up, but 0.5" of new snow here. Temp 19.9 degrees. Glad it hit while still daylight.
  11. Okay, then because, yeah, nothing on local forecasts even talked about.Any type of precipitation today really caught me off guard
  12. So I heard before work that it was going to be cody, giving way to partly cody skies. This afternoon and going clear tonight was low of like sixteen.Where did the snow come from? Was not forecast
  13. Just wants to snow. Flurries here
  14. Moderate snow in Hanover. No big deal. Euro's had it for days. 12z had a coating into MD and 1/2" up here.
  15. I'm sure harrisburg's fine because it never snows in the city.
  16. It has been on the Euro for days actually, but nothing of consequence on other modeling. Just a front.
  17. Low of 14 at 6:58am, High 37 at 3:34pm
  18. At 4:23pm here in Carlisle it is unexpectedly snowing moderately and probably at a rate that exceeds anything I had 2 nights ago. It's beginning to approach heavy as the flake size is increasing. I've picked up 0.3" of snow already and my temperature has dropped from 23 down to 20.3 degrees. I love snow when temps are this cold or colder because it instantly sticks to everything. I haven't looked at radar yet to see how widespread this is, but it remains solidly dark off to my west. What a surprise.
  19. But the Euro Weeklies still look mainly mild in most of the E US S of the northern fringe with the torchiest still W of the E US.
  20. I just took a walk in very refreshing and invigorating 40 degree single digit dewpoint air along with beautiful blue skies and light winds. I love this wx!
  21. Virga overhead in DC right now.
