  2. A useful paper following the glacial flood in Nepal/Tibet. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0921818126002766 Despite social media claims, July had been warmer to much warmer than normal and August 24th had been warmer than normal. Some modestly cooler than normal air moved in on August 25th, but the stresses of long-term glacial thinning due to a warming climate and the impact of what has been a very warm summer proved too much for the glacier responsible. July 2026 Monthly Anomalies: August 24, 2026 Anomalies:

  16. Hopefully we can still get the occasional cold/snowy winter like we just had this past winter.
  17. all the action is NYC south....models missed that until this morning
  18. and now this nino is going to raise our baseline again and make cool summers even more unlikely
  19. The latest ChescoWx Forecast now has 1.34" of rain by midnight tonight at East Nantmeal.
