  1. Past hour
  2. Freehold is gonna hit 30". Already at 24.2" there. But 5 days ago Steve D said there was no storm threat.
  3. Hahaha I’m 35 and that exact thought went through my head. Cleared everything around 11 pm last night and it looks like I didn’t even bother this morning. Definitely waiting for it to at least stop and the plow to come down again before I dig out. It’s funny I’ve always been so against snow blowers, but this may be the storm that breaks me and causes me to rethink that stance
  4. Yea and what was shocking was that they were both low balling even as the storm was underway, crazy.
  5. Totals so far as of 7:00 AM 2/23 NYC 15.1 LGA 15.1 ISP 22.5 JFK 15.0 EWR 18.3
  6. Just woke up. Visibility is feet, all windows are pasted with snow. Can’t see shit
  7. Watching Jim Cantore in Plymouth and will be late for work. It’s insane! .
  8. Neither scenario is going to happen. I see mostly seasonable, 40s and 50s, the first week of March. Three separate winter events in the first 7 days of March is not even realistic. That has never happened before, not even in the historic March 2018 (which the 3 events were spread over 3 weeks). At best, we're only going to get one, and even then, I think the temperatures are a bit too warm and the sun angle is a bit too high for a snow event. If any precipitation falls during the first week of March, it will be rain.
  9. Consecutive…although they have been a bit more lax on the definition in the last decade. Like allowing for 1/4sm rather than M1/4sm and being more liberal on the “frequent gusts”. Although I don’t think a random 1/2sm ob in the middle of it should negate it.
  10. If its right yup. I am in the subsidence area around 2 to 3 more.
  11. ya sucks to have such massive numbers all around us again .. local minimum.. 16-24" in all directions.. except hartford county is a min with 6-10"
  12. 1” overnight, hard crust on top. 1,5” storm total, not sure what melted. Currently pretty windy also, but not bad snow blowing.
  13. No complaints here. Other than it's 42F out, thermostat set at 80. Watching dollar bills fly out the windows. Tin box with more holes than a spaghetti strainer. Be careful what you wish for. Many family members telling me of power out. Be safe and enjoy.
  14. What building is that , hard to see anything
  15. Subsidence central li. Band iver nyc and eastern li.
  16. Had to run this morning so didn't have a chance to measure, but about 3" on the driveway so had to grab the snowblower as it was very wet and heavy. Thought I was just going to scrape it quick and that didn't work out so well... Looks great. If 3 on driveway, guessing 4" or so on grass which is better than I would have guessed when I went to sleep last night. Very long duration light snow through the night got the job done. May have missed the bigger snows, but always nice to see it come down whiten the world for a bit. Live about 3miles NE of Lancaster City. Big storm to the east, IVT to the west - stuck in the middle...
  17. That death band over Danbury to Central Park is just PARKED there. Hope it collapses over us.
