Moderate snow in toxaway. Ground whitening up. -
We’re really going to miss you. Enjoy your other hobbies.

Kinda feel like there should be a little grace if that happens because it would be 100% understandable--but let's go with the positive for now that we will see something measurable

You'd never know it from his post-game sideline interview. -
Yeah, but if we somehow go through the 25th-10th window without getting any measurable snow then you know the Feb long range thread will have 30 pages of wall to wall butthurt.

Cold front looks to me to be moving at forecast speed, and maybe a little quicker in S TN/N AL based on dew point. Temps here (Belmont, NC - just W of CLT) are running 1-2°F warmer than what was forecast for right now, but that's mostly noise I'd say. Not expecting much of anything here, but the eastern Piedmont/coastal plain at least has a much better chance (Triangle -> SE to 95).

We have to pump up the weenies hopes and dreams before nature comes and crushes them... that's what the script says at least. Did you not receive a copy yet?

Hey...we all have some level of angst with the way things have been the last decade. Trust me I get that. But brother...you gotta handle it better than this. I'm learning how to do the same (not all the way there yet, lol). If you address the core of your angst from within you won't HAVE to vent as much. Because right now this is unhealthy even by this board's standards.

If we do waste this window the weenies are going to be completely insufferable.

I’m with you. I prefer optimism by default too. Just hard when you have been wandering through the wilderness like they have. Of course, if they need to rain for me to get 12” of powder, to hell with ‘em. -

I'd feel confident about that should this occur. Starting to think it is gaining more legs though -
It has been 48 in GSP area for about 6 hours now.

We got a bit screwed getting the initial slug of moisture with temps in and around the city. I think the only chance of accumulating snow would be if that precip field expands as the low ramps up - DC rides that line on the 0Z HRRR with temps dropping

I'm certainly enjoying the snow and looking forward to the cold. It seems that the AI versions have a lot of merit even as they are still "learning." I've been impressed how far they've come in the past year.
