  2. right now my station solar radiation is ~100 watts/m2 (whatever that means), with a UV index <1
  3. Insane AQI back over the Great Lakes. Can't imaging what values tomorrow will be down this way.
  4. A shower with moderate to heavy rain just popped right over my area at 3PM.
  5. Mt Holly must have been inhaling too much wildfire smoke when writing 103 for a forecast high here. Sitting at 96. Don't think we go any higher with cloud coverage increasing. Not too hazy.
  6. Roman:"You know what the gourmet here wanted? Hot dogs! You know what they're made of, Chet? Huh? Lips and a**holes!" https://www.quotes.net/mquote/115045
  7. 95/70 heat index at 102. Smells like a firepit outside, no where near 2023 but its pretty hazy out
  8. It’s getting converged and stretched between the ridge and trough and training our way. You absolutely love to see it.
  9. The smoke is really thicc aloft now. We have CAA undercutting it…pretty gusty NW flow. 17G30mph at 1p1.
  10. Hoping for plenty of LP supercells with tons of lightning in Canada the next month! Let's keep those fires roaring and spark some new ones
  11. 96/111 Hazy lazy crazy days of summer
  12. My sister was flying in today from Florida to MQT and her connecting flight from Chicago to MQT has been cancelled due to visibility and ash. I've never seen smoke this bad at the surface before.
  13. Multiple monitors from Duluth to Marquette in the 600-800+ range. Can’t remember ever seeing anything above 600. So far no smoke here, but the highest dewpoints of this heatwave so far.
  14. I agree it's not as bad as 2023 yet but we do have snoke drifting through the air at ground level up here.
  15. Ah, its a new world out there.
  16. Smoke gives the days a nice summer look and feel. Taste the season! Take
  17. LGA has hit 98F even with the smoke lol.
