  1. Past hour
  2. Tell them to check in with WRAL for what’s going to actually happen. .
  3. There’s still hope for something decent. Too much can happen and we have to get something out of it even if it is an inch or 2. .
  4. Thanks same to you. Just checked outside again and still no flurries and a faint moon. Probably 1 or 2 am before we get precip.
  5. I think we are well on the way to breaking the record again tonight. Already -2 here, with some -10s showing up on weather underground stations.
  6. RAP is terrible so doesn't count as an "at bat" haha. GEM solid. Also AIFS very nice for midweek.
  7. You do live south of the Wake County gradient though so I completely understand.[emoji41] .
  8. This cold has already and will continue to set up some impressive river ice. Maybe come March we can get some jamming and flooding on the Connecticut to rival 1936. Not that I really want that. It’s just a fascinating phenomena. 1936 took out dozens of bridges and I believe it was worse flooding than the 1938 hurricane.
  9. Yep, looking at being able to go to Jersey Mikes now for a Philly Chicken substituting their green peppers for cooked in jalapeños and substituting American for provolone cheese with Rosemary Parm bread. Take it home and toast for 2 minutes and it’s awesome. We should get it rolling later tomorrow. .
  10. Down to 9-10 for most. If we can calm down for a few hours we’ll drop like a rock.
  11. @mitchnick I saw this seasonal snowfall mean map back in the early 2000s and was like “what’s that little max in north central MD just south of PA that gets as much snow as southern CT according to this. That can’t be real”. So I started paying attention to coop reports in the area after every storm. Even drove up from northern VA a couple of times to see for myself. And damn it was real. During “snowy” periods there was this little area on these ridges up here that got dumped on. I remembered that when I ended up in the area and bought a place accordingly.
  12. where the genuine hell are you finding all of these storm types? what's next, miller e, the cutter?
