  2. July is basically over. To me, the month ended at sunset. I don't like midnight or 1 am date changes.
  3. same here - we got three separate bouts of rain.
  4. Golf outing in Smithtown was rained out. Started raining on the first hole and by the second hole the entire course was a lake. ended up with 1.40” at home in Commack. We got the first sea breeze storm and then the larger storms later on.
  5. July total 3.3 which is decent for the Central Maryland Desert. 1.7 was July 1-2 and 0.8 today, with almost nothing in between. Great temps coming up but super dry, likely less than an inch of rain for the next month
  6. Cap tip to Wizzy and Scoots on CT filling in. Wikl end up well over 1” here . N side of town is near 2” already . I’m at .79. Relaxing again
  7. Reached my low temp for today (so far) this evening. Current 76; a.m. low 77
  8. I used to go to that area all the time, it's such a beautiful area (between Bayside and Great Neck). I wonder how Alley Pond Park is doing?

  14. July 2025 averaged 82.4 degrees at DCA, 1.4 above the 1991-2020 normal and the 10th warmest July in DC history. That resulted in a January-July 2025 DCA temperature of 59.8 degrees, behind last year's first seven months (61.4) and further behind the record established in 2012 (61.8). July precipitation at DCA was a somewhat below normal total of 3.54 inches, only the 95th wettest July in DC history, although more rain possibly could fall by midnight to up that total closer to the 1991-2020 DCA normal of 4.32 inches.
  15. It is a "get away" day game. Both teams are traveling after the game. And ban day games? Chicago cubs still draw big crowds for their day games. They still have those, even with the lights installed.
