You’ve had a higher % of fake snow compared to normal too. What’s the pack at after compaction and wind today? -
Wind finally dying down. Currently 12.2F

I see no way we get anywhere near the 60” average here . I’ll be very surprised if it’s 40”. I was planning on a subpar winter snow wise so it’s not surprising . But it still sucks to live thru . The fast flow / N PAC issue has screwed us again -

They can prob put it in maroon….it’s almost certain we avg AN during that 7 day period (the map says nothing about magnitude though) -
we can get a lotta shit done from Jan 15-Feb 15, i.e. 2010
-
Thanks Don. Appreciate it. Getting sick is the price we pay for socializing during the holidays. It’s close to inevitable

30s over the interior when many of us are at double digits so far? It’s not like we’re all sitting at 4” like some of these other years. I do worry about the Niña February but we’ll see about the second half of this month. -

They should’ve never gone past 4. But I get that they want the ratings. -

FCS, DII, and DIII all have 16 team playoffs that have worked well over the years -
The actual EPO is to supposed to build Jan 8-9th. So, that transition is well within ten days. Right now, that ridge building starts at about 180. The transition to that ridge is arueably occurring now.

Notre Dame, BYU, and Texas didn’t deserve it either. The bottom of the rankings weren’t great. Just go to 16 and call it a day. -2.0/-7 WC -16 -

Hard to measure with all the drifting and blowing last night. Maybe 4-5” on the ground. Definitely didn’t get more than 6” combined from the two days. . -

The 18z AIFS Euro ensemble is pretty much awesome. Big ridge out West, and big trough over the East. Makes sense.

I wouldn’t call a season total 13.3” great . And actually it was a little over 10” as most fell after midnight last night . SW CT and WOR had a snowy month -

Not sure it was “great” anywhere. Maybe near CT south shore they best snowfall climo by a decent amount due to 12/26-27. But pretty much everywhere else was normal to BN on snowfall despite the cold temps. But I’ll give December a little bump up in grade because the little snow we got stayed on the ground much of the month and we snuck in a white Xmas too. So it was a nice holiday feel. But all that is now mostly useless to me after new years so we better start getting some meatier storms. -
our snow season ends the day after PD....so basically we are down to Jan 15 to Feb 15 and we lose 3 days in February already for some leap year stuff
-
what does open atlantic mean? We have a -NAO and a kinda of 50/50 low but people are still saying open atlantic. What would close it lol? is it the trough being too far east?
-
I hope the 18z GFS is wrong because the entire continent was AN until the end when the west went BN. More worrisome is its dry as a bone in the SE.
