snowfan
You can see the band doing its dirty work on the 270 cams....old hundred rd and clarksburg rd. It's coming down pretty good. Here's the only link I have to this site, but I like it. Drag the map and go to the cam in Fred. Md. As the snow gets closer to DC, you can watch it live. Love it! http://www.trafficla...l/camera/300108
snowfan
Looks like the band is trying to break up just in time to miss DC.

WinterWxLuvr
Official steel ruler measurement here just a tick above 1.5". The ole deck rail is a pretty good visual measure, right about dead on this time. I'd like to see it snow for about 6 hours at the rate some of you are getting right now or will shortly. real
hardest I've seen it snow in Northwest DC in almost exactly 11 months. Too bad, it seems like if I get up for a second minute to go into the windowless kitchen, it will be done by the time i return...

Stormpc
Hardest snow since last Feb. Really accumulating to the roads as well. Will prob get .5 out of this.
smokeybandit
Is it wrong of me to be mad at the county when I see them send plows down the cul-de-sac when there's barely a coating of snow on the roads, knowing that if it actually snows hard (like, last February) that we won't see plows for several days after? steks
In the City of Manassas it's 29, very light snow, and calm. After a nice period of moderate snow the clouds have relaxed leaving us about .5 in on the surfaces. A bit of sugar on one's breakfast for a Saturday morning.
