HIPPYVALLEY
There’s a new climate site for some of the pseudo-scientists on here to disagree with. “Built by former members of the team behind the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's popular Climate.gov website, Climate.us will keep climate information accurate, accessible, scientifically rigorous, and useful for the people who rely on it, including educators, students, journalists, scientists, community leaders, local and state decision-makers, and members of the public.“ https://www.climate.us
WxWatcher007
9 hours ago, powderfreak said: This. We can blame hype but the amount of video easily available now is something never seen before. It’s the same with any outrageous behavior captured on film. There have always been Karens… since the dawn of time… but now you see video of every single person doing something obnoxious or dumb. Dumb people making bad decisions have always existed, too. You just never saw it. I don’t think people understand the gravity and how our perception has changed on certain things since every human holds an HD camera in their pocket. 9 hours ago, weatherwiz said: I can certainly imagine lol. Long about hole 8 or so the teacher began commiserating over the dumbing down of society. He was urging, no exaggeration, that working in a medium economic foot print school system that he does ... these kids can't do math. Like, really... 13X14 = a trip to chapGPT or they're lost. And the school system(s) are overwhelmed. They can't flunk whole grades-worth of bulk bodies. I mean ... my god. It came about because I was railing on about how since the Industrial Revolution, we've created a societal machinery where people have to think less and less - they're mistakes are cleaned up by the system.. so generational stupification ..etc He was musing on about how climate change this, nuclear wars that... the next covid or alien invasion ...? it's all going to pale in comparison when that generation starts inheriting the Earth "you have no idea" where the apocalypse agent is really hiding. We laughed in morbid amusement Thinking back to the conversation earlier today I came across this. I do agree that it is a worthwhile read. Within the last month I read the following 2 articles: both are worthwhile reads . https://fortune.com/article/gen-z-college-students-struggling-to-read-books-professors-forced-to-rethink-standards-warn-of-anxiety-lack-of-workplace-prepardness/ https://futurism.com/future-society/college-students-losing-ability-read It is very difficult to obtain an education without being able to read and to comprehend what is read. People who arent around kids don't realize how bad of an education many kids are receiving....and that includes many parents. At many schools the daily goal is " Let's not do anything that gets us on the 6 o'clock news"....serious issues are being swept under the rug. Baroclinic Zone
My uncle survived a widowmaker heart attack. Happened about 15yrs ago now. He was astute enough to realize something was going on and my aunt called the paramedics. While on trip to the hospital in the ambulance was when it occurred. wokeupthisam
So... Put up a new trail cam yesterday, wife hoping to get some good wildlife captures, didn't see this as a possibility... It took this pic at 10:33am today. No idea what that is at center-left, I know what it looks like but never bought into the stories. Weird 2

Weird can you loop that ..? if you ever want an analysis/proof of authenticity, that would be more useful than a still frame

She’s doing well. Getting around pretty good. Optimistic she will be getting back into PT in the near future to make strides with her strength and mobility. She starts summer classes in a week. Any updates? Family member going into surgery tomorrow, made me think of her.

Ended up going to ER last Tuesday. Excruciating pain in her upper spine. MRI showed degenerative discs C2-C4 as well as a bulging s]disc around C7. Put her on Metylprednisolone for the inflamation. Didn’t seem to do much. She’s going to PT 2 days a week, working mostly on mobilization of the spinal muscles. It’s hard to see her in chronic pain and lack of mobility and there is little that can be done. whats your family member going into surgery for?
