I actually feel bad that something that brings so much joy can make someone so jaded and distrustfull. Perhaps this picture of my granddaughter and great grandson playing in the snow will bring back great memories to him and he can forget his obsession with numbers. It is after all just frozen water given to us to admire and play in not cry over.

Confirmation bias is undefeated. :cory:

I was gonna say this is a perfect example of confirmation bias..having a strong opinion and theory beforehand and then looking for data to confirm your beliefs. At the very least its heavily biased and a flawed approach given the time that elapsed

For the others you can use cocorahs Newtown and Woodbury both have a cocorahs and COOP but may have some missing data, you'd have to check

I wasn't aware that in the Entertainment Industry, you are NOT supposed to show your accolades on your channel.  I guess everyone has been doing it wrong.  And Another Presumptive Lie - I was ASKED By those TEDx organizations to give talks.  You don't just apply and get them.  And My first one in 2013 was The First in the WORLD on the Accordion.  It's sad I have to defend my music career on a weather board because you people are acting like this.  Provide.  Evidence.  Against.  What I showed in the video.  SHOW ME Videos of people's measurements and time lapses.  Not going after my music career with baseless BS.

Cory (the fun one from Southbury not the annoying accordion) will have to verify because I lose track of the little ones.

That's wonderful. I hope they never lose their sense of adventure, joy, and love of the snow/winter and life.

We had snow ice cream and I showed them how to do a SWE from a core. Great grandson is quite the weenie. Made like 20 depth measurements and then we learned how to do average and mean, lost him on mean lol

Tracking weather (either as a profession or hobby) is likely one of the most prone industries to confirmation bias. We all fall to it to some degree, especially with the number of models and frequency.

Want the big one? Hug the models that show the big one and rationalize why THAT is right over others.

Going to miss the big one and can't imagine not being in the Jack? Find ways to delegitimize others who have had a once in a generation experience.
