All timer forecast bust

Crazy, that band just set up shop and barely moved for about 18 hours. Ended up with 6” imby

An additional 2.5" for me last night. Total of 17.2" imby is a welcome hit. Good SWE, too. Some lingering -SN today that may net a couple more tenths, but that's just a garnish.

We didn’t get a chance to go up there. I guess I’ll have to wait until my next opportunity whenever that may be. 
 

Hovland MN with 38.6” of snow. Might have established a new state record if that can be verified.

Just looked it up. Not even close to a record it looks like, unless a lot more hits today. 26.6 in the 24 hr for Hovland, so will see what the next reading is tomorrow am for storm total.

Another 0.8" to top off the tank. 18" storm with blizzard conditions for many hours was just awesome. Warmer, moist air running over icy cold lake air on a rather stiff ENE wind was the ticket. Always do well in town when that happens.

Thought I'd snap another pic looking N up the street. There was very little snow up this way when it started. Had some in my yard in the foreground because my house shades it a good part of the day, except for closer to the street. I'd estimate 3' or least 30", in my yard from what was there before to what was added.

Widespread 20”+ totals along the north shore of Lake Superior. Congrats @Brian D looks great up there. 
 

MSP is up to 37.2” season to date and snowdepth has settled to 5”

High of 65 at DTW and 45 at DET? Ive never seen anything so wild. Hypothetically, if the two stations finished with an otherwise identical monthly mean temp, today's front would single handedly make DTW a few tenths of a degree warmer for the month than DET. 

All the snow has melted, though there are plenty of cookies n cream piles in parking lots and such, its that depressing time of getting used to grass after looking at snowcover for a long time.

Heres a wild stat. DTW hit 60+ once in each month DJF for only the 2nd time on record. The other time was a warm winter (1889-90). There have been 10 winters with more 60s and multiple others a match at 3, but not one a month. Whats wild is each month thjs winter was solidly colder and more snowcovered than average.

Looks great. Im in the U.P. for a few days.

Been such a great winter statewide but was crazy to see how the warmth the last several days erodes the snowpack in the southern 2/3 of lower Michigan. But up here...it got DEEPER! SO much snow.
