Looks like the HRRR and NAM 3km put the front onto the plateau between 3 and 4pm eastern time.

Anyone up on Signal Mountain above Chattanooga? Just rain in town, but I figure <32 for the duration on the Mountain.

Wow ok finally my temp has skyrocketed in the last 30 minutes, went from freezing to 38 in 30 minutes.

My sister lives in Oxford. She says the same thing. No power, trees falling everywhere. Not a good situation but she does have heat and the essentials. It could be a long road of recovery in that area though.

USA today made their Data free today for power outages. Map is a little more user friendly than poweroutages dot us but the latter updates faster and has Local Power Companies.

Both sites show the shock and awe. Some areas are 100% dark. In some cases a TVA reconnect would help, but the Local Company would still be mostly out. Other cases it might actually be the entire distribution system - I sure hope not!

Unbelievable Lewis Co. Next one north Hickman Co. is 97% out.

We’ve made it to the end in Clarksville and can see the light. Still have power for now but no internet. 

back down to 19° from 30° and is finally very lightly snowing but won’t be for much longer.

No snow accumulation from this storm in my backyard, a light dusting of sleet, a thin (0.1" or so) coating of ice on elevated surfaces, and now a nice cold rain. If we weren't going to get snow, I'm thankful Knoxville at least dodged any crippling ice. The fact that surface temps verified a couple degrees warm really saved us from having ice on the roads.

A few models look like they have some backend snow for the foothills tonight... not much, but better than more ice or rain. Nam 3k, HRW WRF-ARW, RDPS all have a dusting to an inch or so in the central and northern parts of the valley. Would be a nice consolation prize to get on the board for snow accumulations on the winter and have some white on the ground heading into this freezing cold week

I am glad I am not sitting in the dark. Back in the storm of 93 We had 7 kids 6 and under and 7 adults representing 5 different families in our house.  We had a wood stove and gas to run all our water and cooking stoves.  It was an experience that I would never want to give up or repeat.

It’s 37 on front of Signal near Palisades Dr. Heavy rain. Had .5” of sleet then .5” of ice through 3/4 am. Then all rain. It got very windy around 6-7 am when ice was still on trees. We haven’t lost power but a lot on the mtn have.

Hopefully that pans out but i'm not overly confident. May have predominantly bare ground or a dusting at the most while areas west, north and east are Ice and Snow covered. One of those Winter's so far. Hopefully things change.
