Sitting at 27° in Ooltewah. 5 hour lull but had some drizzle and pretty good sleet about an hour ago. Roads are just wet at the moment. Small bridge on Hunter road near I75 has ice in middle and on the edges. That's about it for now.

What seems to be occurring for me so far is snow when it's heavier precip, and freezing rain sleet mix when lighter precip. Getting sleet and freezing rain now but a heavier echo is moving in will see if it goes back to snow. I know at some point going to lose the snow all together.

Shocked to still be at 27. Some of the models showed a bubble of colder air trapped around Chattanooga. Looks like that is proving true so far. Thankfully, there hasn't been much precipitation yet.

I am really hoping so but NWS keeps upping how much ice we are going to get with every update :/ we prepared like we’re getting a decent amount of ice.

   SUMMARY...Freezing rain mixed with sleet is expected to expand
   across parts of the Tennessee Valley to the southern Appalachians
   through late afternoon. The most likely corridor for appreciable
   accretion appears centered on north-central Mississippi, northwest
   Alabama, and southeast Tennessee.

   DISCUSSION...A broad swath of mixed winter precip is ongoing from
   KY/TN southwest to LA. The initial leading activity has largely
   remained as sleet and snow, with greater liquid-equivalent rates in
   sleet, freezing rain, and rain over LA. This latter plume is
   expected to be the most prolific for freezing rain rates as it
   shifts northeast through late afternoon. Liquid-equivalent rates of
   .05 to .25 in/hr should remain common. Despite ample low-level
   isentropic ascent, guidance is quite insistent on expanding the
   above-freezing warm nose north-northeast across northern MS to
   eastern TN through 00Z. A 15Z UL-Monroe sounding sampled around 12C
   at 900 mb, indicative of a classic freezing rain/mixed sleet
   profile. The overall setup suggests that these should become the
   primary PTYPEs across central/northern MS through northwest AL to
   southeast TN.

100 yards from front of Signal Mountain, near Palisades Drive. Half inch of sleet this morning and then some light freezing rain on top. No precipitation currently and 27 F.

Here in Knoxville I am getting a steady sleet snow and freezing  rain.

In heavier echos now I seem to switch to primarily sleet but still some flakes mixed in but no freezing rain. Only time I get liquid freezing precip is in light or no returns on radar and it is probably more accurate to call it freezing drizzle in those moments.
