The 0z GFS brought back the potential chance for an end of the month coastal that is influenced by the -NAO.

First, a "period" of hot/cold/warm weather is not a day. That's just silly. Second, it's kind of a weak-sauce torch to begin with. Temps much of the afternoon tomorrow are going to be very close to normal, falling below normal by sunset.

51.3 when I left the house this morning. .48" of rain had fallen, the intense area of rain is encroaching now...

Seems to be a little uncertainty on how this weather pattern will evolve the next 2 weeks.

Over 0.50" of rain has already fallen here in East Nantmeal with as much as another 0.50" possible for some areas. We have already reached out high for the day of 56.6 just before 6am. Temperatures have fallen over 6 degrees since then and will continue to fall into the 30's by 4pm and freezing by 6pm. Lows tonight will fall to near 20 degrees and highs tomorrow only in the mid-30's. Temperatures will be near normal in the low 40's pm Sunday before falling back to below normal levels through Christmas Eve day. There is a chance of some snow by Tuesday morning that could be mixed with rain further south across the area.

Holy cow, you're not kidding...heavy wind-driven rain here now. This is the official start of the "event."

I had a gust of 48.3 here with that squall. That's impressive with where I live. Son on his Ambient had a 76 gust and he lives on top of a hill about 2 to 3  miles as the crow flies from me.

My station is too protected to get anything close to accurate wind speeds. At the airport right down the road, a gust of 53mph was just recorded:

Oh my. That's High Wind Warning stuff. 

Edit: Confirmed gust of 64mph at 1:05pm and then a 68mph gust at 1:09pm.
