That sleet line just hit like a brick wall. Went from dead silence to loud pinging instantly.

Mix line seems to be washing out a bit on radar, could flip back to mostly snow for a time.

The sleet signature on correlation coefficient is racing back south all of a sudden. We changed to sleet and then rain now back to snow. Pretty interesting. Muhlenburg township.

It has already changed back to snow here with some sleet pellets mixed in. Hopefully we get a nice period of heavy snow before the rain gets here.

I just saw that on traffic cams in the area between Allentown and Reading.  Precip looks like a mix of snow and sleet in that area.   I have a snow/sleet mix here (Bethlehem Twp.) after a brief transition to sleet.  Surface temps are going nowhere (29/27).   Roads will be quite nasty.

Many media outlets will be picking up on the cold that is going to hit us in the next few days too.  Single digits expected.  I am expecting to see many reports on frozen pipes because of so many transient people from other areas of the country gave moved into the Lehigh Valley.  They are not used to winterizing their homes.  If I was a plumber, I would be resting up right now. They will be busy by this time next week.   Never threw out a final call on this storm. The mix line is going everywhere this morning.   Just happy to get some moisture.

And back to mostly sleet again. CC radar is not picking this up…looking at it you’d think Allentown is clearly in a snow zone.

Now up to 35, with dp 35 and a steady light rain.  Have 0.23" in the bucket at post time.  Adding CC to the BR on the radar upload.

I did say on my page that route 22 would be the dividing line between lower and higher amounts. So far that seems to be working out pretty well.
