bncho Posted yesterday at 12:38 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:38 AM The 12z CFS run apparently gives us snow. Even though it doesn't really show it on the precip type maps, it does show it on the snow depth maps. October 13, 2025 officially marks the start of the 2025-26 Digital Snow Thread! I'm okay having to snow chase to avoid mixing if its early November. Mid January is a different story...

Idk if it matters either way. We get storms like this all the time in mid Novie and they melt too quick. Boring

I mean if you're good with a 6" paste job in mid Nov then fine. I'm bored of them. Need something anomalous to get my attention. I like hiking around in the snow all day. Then I drive 1.5 hours back to the lowlands where it's 47 and rainy lol. It makes winter seem longer. I get it though. 3-4" during January followed by 60 degree weather is lame. I'll still take it though lol

One of my all-time favorite storms. I was in third grade at school. I was in Crownsville. I still remember the building shaking thunder and ripping snow. I got stuck at school most of the night. We had 13" in the lowlands. PG/AA County's jacked.

SnowenOutThere
On a side note I do think it would be hilarious to start a thread for some random day in the winter and hype it up the whole fall

Maybe we should be conservative and wait until it's under 500hrs on the cfs and the 384hr gfs extrapolates properly.
