0.63" for Oct is pretty paltry. 10th driest on record. Warm month; max 58.7 (+0.5=59.2) avg 53.9/ min 41.9(+2=43.9) avg 37.9 for 7am readings. 10th warmest Oct.

Very impressive. Certainly keeping an eye on the Great Lakes, as water levels continue to descend, e.g. lowest October levels on Michigan-Huron since 2012. Won't break the record lows of January 2013 this winter, but still quite the fall from the record highs of 2019-20.

Absolutely love my autumn blaze maple! Its a fast grower and each year the color is more impressive. Primary red but orange and yellow at bottom.

Leaves dropping now, but took these pics Oct 28.

It is very windy around here at times and those fast growing maples don't always stand up to the wind as well.  I have a few sugar maples around the yard.  Not as brilliant but the orange is about as beautiful as the reds on the autumn blaze maples.

Sugar maples are my favorite!

There used to be a 60-ft tall red maple in my neighbor's backyard.  It was too big for our small lots, but it was a beautiful, brilliant red color in fall.  The 2020 derecho destroyed it.  There is a still a young Fall Fiesta sugar maple in the front yard.  So far, the tree has not had good color, although this year it is definitely better.
