Certainly keeping an eye on the Great Lakes, as water levels continue to descend, e.g. lowest October levels on Michigan-Huron since 2012. Won't break the record lows of January 2013 this winter, but still quite the fall from the record highs of 2019-20.

Its a fast grower and each year the color is more impressive. Primary red but orange and yellow at bottom. Leaves dropping now, but took these pics Oct 28.

It is very windy around here at times and those fast growing maples don't always stand up to the wind as well. I have a few sugar maples around the yard. Not as brilliant but the orange is about as beautiful as the reds on the autumn blaze maples.
