canderson
“It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops.” - A. Bartlett Giamatti In weather news, 48 was my low. Have to fly to NOLA tomorrow and Sunday looks potentially like a few inches of rain there.

ChescoWx
Some of our colder valley locations again saw low temperatures this morning in the upper 30's with most other spots remaining in the lower 40's. A beautiful stretch of weather through Tuesday with temperatures near normal for early October today with highs in the upper 60's to near 70 degrees. We warm up to above normal tomorrow through Tuesday. Shower chances arrive on Tuesday night with a cold front which will turn us sharply cooler again by later next week. Like most divorces, it may be messy and painful but it is needed. Time to pull the bandaid off. I take no glee in saying that. It just feels inevitable at this point. 2

A couple of uninspiring wins against vastly inferior competition left me feeling like what we're witnessing now was inevitable. 1

ChescoWx
Happy Red Phillies October to those who celebrate! Tough one last night! Today looks to be our warmest day over the next week. Lower spots in the area should approach 80 degrees. We should see temperatures a couple of degrees cooler by tomorrow and then falling to below normal levels by Thursday. Highs on Thursday should be not too far from 60 degrees. There is a chance of some beneficial rain on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. That looks to be our only chance of rain over the next week. Go Phillies!

And Franklin has a $56m buyout. He’s not being fired - they can’t afford it.
Voyager
Hour past nooners and 83 here...so far. Part of me wishes we'd stay this warm through Halloween. Outside of a few early turners, nearly all the trees are still summer green. The anomaly lover in me wants to see how long it would hold, or would the lack of sunlight/photosynthesis turn them regardless of the summer-like temps.
