Cfa
Heavy rain and rumbles of thunder in Manhattan. Trees are stationary. Boring. A puff of wind would be nice. I haven’t experienced a proper severe thunderstorm in ages.
Dark Star
Perhaps some fractured mammatus at the leading edge in Garwood? Nice close thunderbolt, wind from different directions, then a nice pouring rain.

But quick moving doesn’t matter if they have 70 mph winds The models were right in bringing the rain in at 4 pm in the city. My high was 96 and it probably wasn't going to get higher than that even without the storms, as the high temperature happened an hour and a half before the clouds showed up and then just hovered near there right through 4 PM.
