They are and they're aimed at places north of 78 right now. The other batch in PA we'll see.  But quick moving doesn’t matter if they have 70 mph winds

The models were right in bringing the rain in at 4 pm in the city.  It hasn't made it here yet, we just got cloudy at 4 pm but it's still in the 90s here and I just heard my first thunder at 4:06 pm

At 324 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

I'm in SW Nassau why is there a severe thunderstorm warning here? It hasn't even started raining here yet and the clouds only came at 4 PM and I heard my first thunder at 4:06 pm It just dropped to 89 with the dark clouds, it was in the 90s all afternoon right up until 4 PM here.

The winds were crazy

And the rain was impressive

Nothing here yet, did you make it to 100 before the storms hit?

My high was 96 and it probably wasn't going to get higher than that even without the storms, as the high temperature happened an hour and a half before the clouds showed up and then just hovered near there right through 4 PM.
