Blizzard of 93
It’s raining again in Marysville. I thought today was supposed to be a half decent… It just seems like for the last 3 months, if there is Any chance of rain… it rains! I need this pattern in Winter…
ChescoWx
Today marks on average the warmest day of the year....we begin the slow slide toward winter tomorrow as we see our average temperatures fall before reaching their lowest on January 19th. Yesterday temperatures across much of Chester County remained in below average upper 70's to low 80's for highs. Today looks like we will see similar temperatures. There have been some light showers around the area this morning and we should see more developing later this afternoon. Tomorrow will be warmer and more humid before we turn refreshingly cooler for Monday through Wednesday with likely our best stretch of weather so far this summer. Lows by Tuesday morning should be in the 50's for most spots. We start to turn hotter again by the end of the next work week.

Voyager
Had a few drops this morning. I'm hoping that the rain stays away today. I washed the Jeep for a wedding today. Since most of my family haven't seen it yet, I wanted it to look "purdy".
Voyager
Well, it had to rain JUST ENOUGH to make the roads wet. Grrr...
Blizzard of 93
.30 of rain today in Marysville. 1.83 for my total this week. Sun is finally breaking through the clouds here as of 3:30 pm. Hopefully it’s a pleasant evening. Air temp is 78, but my dew point is 72…
canderson
.1” rain today. Rain chances quickly going bye bye for the next 7 days.
ChescoWx Posted yesterday at 01:00 PM Share Posted yesterday at 01:00 PM Today will be our last warm and humid day till late in the upcoming work week. Temperatures tomorrow and Tuesday may struggle to escape the 70's. Nighttime lows should reach the low to mid 60's tomorrow morning and the upper 50's by Tuesday morning. This will be a great chance to open up those windows and get some fresh air in the place! Any shower chances look to be later today with the cold front. We start a warmup by Thursday with 90's possible to close out the work week.

Blizzard of 93
A couple of little showers brought me .03 of rain in Marysville today. Another day with no watering required this Summer.
canderson
Major heat this late week and weekend. Not surprising as August will roast.
Blizzard of 93
I’m just looking forward to the relief the next few days with lower temperatures & comfortable dew points. If it roasts in August, at least we know the end of Summer is near. Football will be back & dreams of Fall temperatures will be not too far in the future. Lol, Where is that Met Fall countdown tracker?! 1

Mount Joy Snowman
Low of 66 with a rounded-up .01" of scattered big drops. A nice dry week ahead, cool to start and hot to finish. National high of 117 at Death Valley and Stovepipe Wells, CA and low of 32 at Foxpark, WY. Carry on.
Itstrainingtime
.04" of rain fell at home yesterday. I was in Philadelphia watching a listless Phillies team get pounded to submission by a bad Angels team. Had a big time rainer just before scheduled first pitch. Obviously not sure how much fell but it was a heckuva lot more than .04".
ChescoWx
Get ready for our best stretch of comfortable summer weather over the next 3 days before we warm up by the end of the work week. Temperatures this morning dropped into the mid to upper 60's across the area. Today through Wednesday we will see highs not too far from 80 degrees with low humidity. Nighttime lows both tonight and tomorrow night may reach the 50's - open up those windows! The heat returns Friday in fact many areas that have yet to see a 90-degree day here in July may see it to close out the week. Shower chances return by next weekend. Voyager
Well, I got the Tempest elevated. It's above the standard 2m height for temperatures, but now it's more open, and above the fence tops for a better opportunity for more accurate wind speeds and directions. It's a homemade setup using one of the wife's clothesline props, so time will tell how well it holds up. I may need to get a more rigid post, but for now it's better than where it originally was.

That is the main problem with a lot of these stations that are affordable. They are an all-in-one. I was able to get my station on to my roof which is at the acceptable height for winds (and on a pole so that the house doesn't block it), but then the temps are messed up. I figured it was easier to get a smaller station for more accurate temps vs getting something only for winds. Who knows. Looks good though!

Those Tempest stations are impressive units - and not requiring power and no moving parts is a big bonus. I've debating getting one but don't really know where I'd put it so it's not just baking in full sun all the time.

I have an ambient which I like and has been good to me for 5 years now. I just hate having to choose between getting better accuracy for wind vs temp with where you need to mount them. I went with wind since mounted wireless anemometers are more $$ than wireless thermometers.
