mahantango#1
.09 rain overnight here. A cool 59 cloudy gloomy kind of day so far. Hopefully there will be some improvement throughout the day. And keep that heavier rain away from me. I rototilled the garden yesterday. I hilled up my potatoes yesterday. That ground was heavy to move up against the potato plants. They should have been hilled up several weeks ago. But the constant rain and water laying in the garden made it impossible to do.

My company sponsored the show two weeks ago in Harrisburg. It’s really going to come down to ceiling height today. I just got here, and heard it was partially cancelled this afternoon because of the ceiling height. I'm hoping to see some of the show tomorrow. Any sites for ceiling height forecasts for down here? Nice I'm here till Tuesday, staying beach front with my kids.

Look up KOXB TAF, it gives you cloud heights for the ocean city airport. It was canceled after basically two flights. Today doesn’t look good at all. Need at least 3000 foot ceiling and it’s calling for 1000 all day. I am on 17th street holiday inn and suits ocean front. Have me wife and two boys as well. Enjoy your time with the family and Happy Father's Day.

Full timers don't work weekends unless they choose to, but since today is Father's Day, at least a couple of part timers didn't want to come out. If we're short on manpower, we have to cover it, and today was my assigned day.

Yardstickgozinya
Day 5 Thursday The mid-level trough is forecast to move into the lower Great Lakes and upper Ohio Valley on Thursday, as the cold front advances into the central Appalachians. As the airmass ahead of the front destabilizes, scattered thunderstorms are expected to form along and ahead of the front. The models suggest that moderate deep-layer shear will be in place across much of the northeastern U.S., which will likely support organized storms. Damaging winds gusts will be the most likely severe threat.

Sorry if you're already aware of this . I didn't stop by the forum yesterday, but for future reference, I would ask the guys at the MA thread . I have seen guys post forcast soundings from pivotal. The LcL should be already plotted and easily visible.
